Newly released in 2010, in this ultra micro helicopter, it includes a 4-in-1 infrared controller (Gyro + ESC + Mixer + Receiver). This makes the palm size helicopter have outstanding performance in hovering. 3 Channels for flying it, able to move in 6 Directions. The full metal body frame protects the heli from crash, it won't break easily. This would be great for those who are new to R/C toys! With highly sensitive gyroscope, flies quietly and stably. Throttle can be locked at any position, this allows the mini boy stay in the air with both your hands free! Be ware that this toy helicopter is designed for those who are over 8 years old. That's suitable from kids to adults!

Great flyer -Lower Gear Problem is FIXED!!!
****EDIT Jan 13 2012 Just got a new batch of these and they fixed the gear problem by using a longer shaft on the motor!!!****I give these FIVE stars now!(Only problem is the prices are starting to climb!!)Flies really well good control, cool flashing lights that can be turned off & on by remote control. It also has a accelerator button on the transmitter to speed up the tail rotor for more speed!! Really a stable machine once you get it set.But as a LOT of others have stated there is a problem with the lower gear coming down or coming completely off the motor.(THE FACTORY SHOULD FIX THIS PROBLEM)There is a video on YouTube showing how to do the fix...and it is fairly easy, but the parts are SMALL!!! If you fly this over carpet & the gear comes completely off you will NEVER find it!I suggest staying on a hard surface.Other than the gear problem I would give this 5 stars and recommend it highly! Can only go 4 stars the way it is now.UPDATE:I have ordered three more of these, the last one I had I used Loctite superglue to hold the lower gear on and I have not had ANY more trouble with damage, even after some spectacular crashes. This Heli is really a lot more fun than the Syma 107's because of the remote's ability to turn on & off the flashing LED's & the accelerator button (more RPM's on the tail prop). Plus the USB charge cable has just a plug type end that is very easy to plug into the heli. And these heli fly just as good or better (and certainly faster with the accelerator button) than the Syma's.Another UPDATE Got a new batch of these and they are now including a extra set of blades, a connector rod (for the blades), and a couple EXTRA GEARS FOR THE MOTORS! Changing my rating to 5 stars!!

Very GOOD!
I think this is the BEST starter helicopter. I got this helicopter for me to fly for my grand son who is 2 1/2 years old. This was one of my first helicopter. I would fly too high tothe sealing and it would end up on the floor rolling around, thismade my grand son laughed, laughed and laughed. I crashed it so manytime I can't count all the times. Had it for 10 months now and it stillworks great. Had to replace the back blade and one main blade after beating itto death but nothing like the repairs to the other five helicopters I have. The larger the more problems. This helicopter is so light it doesn't breakwhen it crashes. I like it so much I ordered another for winter indoor flying. The larger helicopter can't fly if the temperature is below 55 to 60F. For $23.00 I should have ordered two and if one does breaks, it becomesspare parts for the other, beats having to order parts and paying for delivery.I give this 688 JXD Metal Series 339 3CH RC Helicopter RTF w/ Gyro:Two thumbs up

Well-designed helicopter - a bit on the fragile side.
We got this `copter for my 10-year old son, even though it says 14+ as the age range. He's a whiz at RC toys, so he wasn't hard on it; in fact it was very easy for him to learn to fly. That's why I give it a pretty high rating. However, the same thing happened to it as it did to some of the other reviewers, which is that the little gear popped off the end of one of the motor's shaft ends. We found a reviewer's You tube video on how to fix that - what a champ that guy is. We got the copter apart and the gear back on the shaft, but one of the wires broke off the motor where it enters the top. We tinkered awhile, but could not fix it.Fortunately, we saw in the manual that the part numbers are listed, so we were able to google the part number with the model number of the `copter, and found a motor set at rc-fever.com for about five bucks. It is on its way. So by all means, get this chopper because it is reasonably priced, easy to fly, and well-designed. But be careful with it, especially if you star digging around under the skin. One final thing; it comes with extra blades, coounterweights, and a set the shaft-end gears. That's another big plus.---Update: August 27, 2011The replacement motors came, and worked with no problem. Since they did, I have learned how to fix the bottom rotor problem with ease. Since that motor is is in the front, all you have to do is take off the front cowling (2 screws) an reach in with a fine screwdriver and move the slipped gear up the motor shaft until it meshes with the main gear for the lower rotor. It only takes 5 minutes.Only if the small gear comes entirely OFF the motor shaft do you have to take the copter apart like in the YouTube video. Or, if it's the upper rotor that stops working, you'll have to take it apart to get to that motor, which is in the rear of the craft. We have 2 of these now, and we love them both!

I Really Want To Like It!
I really wish that I could like this heli. I own 10 heli's; 3-Drift Kings, excellent, 2- Syma 107s, excellent, 1- 109G, 1- 111G, all excellent, 1- Xieda radio x-trol, flyable, but only just, 1- JXD 338 Sky Wolf mid-size radio x-trol, clumsy but, it's pretty cool and it flies well. Now I own this JXD 339, which I had been eyeing for some time thinking, wouldn't it be cool if this one acted like a 3ch Drift King! But, in the product description, it doesn't say anything about it being a two speed, like the DK. I happened to read a review where some one mentioned that it was, and when I saw that, I ordered it. It is a nice looking heli! Mine came in gold, which is what I was hoping for. When I started flying it, I found that the rotation rate is very fast, but low speed is painfully slow, and high speed would not keep up with a stock 107. Every heli I've flown has it's own characteristics. Some are quick, others sluggish, some fast, others are touchy. This one is just plain weird! A curved left, in high speed makes it almost stop and spiral up. A right curve, if done just a little to fast, causes it to do a motorcycle-type high-side, causing the upper and lower blades to collide, causing an instant crash! As much as I want to like this one, I don't know how I'm going to make myself do that! Very Disappointed!
