Perhaps I used it wrong, but I put it on top of the snow I wanted to clear for a walkway and plugged it in. I left it there for a few hours and it didn't melt the snow under it.

Purchased April 14th just now opened it May 8th to test it. Didn’t even get warm. Switched outlets and waited and still does not work

Worked twice then stopped working, had 2 mats so even switched out electrical connections and both mats did not work

I bought two of these for the walkway and three of these for the stairs, you can piggyback them together, but what I found is that when you piggyback them together it’s pulling so much juice that it just throws your breaker. So I ended up having to just do the three steps alone, and then just the two sidewalk mats alone. And then I found out that even two sidewalk Matt pulls so much juice it kicks your breaker. So I hooked up each of the sidewalk mats to one outlet and they worked great for one whole week. Now they don’t work it all. The three stair mats even broke, and they no longer work after a week. I bought them off of their website site and now that doesn’t show up that I actually bought them. But I find them to be extremely expensive and they don’t work! And I bought the ones with the remote timer, which is almost impossible to set, comes with pretty much no instructions. It would be nice if they had an instructional video on how to program them, but no. But it doesn’t matter anyway because they don’t work anyway.
