Quality Throughout...
I own a few Damascus knives from other companies and this Sanmuzuo surpasses them all in handle detail and beauty, blade to handle weld being unnoticeable, blade design is unique, VG-10 layer is centered very well the entire length of the blade and blade hardness and edge retention is as good or better than the competition...Too see this take a 15x or greater magnifying glass and run it along the top of the blade and on the handle end of the blade where you can see the VG-10 layer in the middle with the very thin damascus layers on each side...You can't always see the layers the entire length of the blade, but usually 75% or more of the length...With the VG-10 layer being centered just shows to me attention to detail...These damascus blades need to be treated with care...Don't soak them in any liquids or put them in dishwasher...My friend who has a blade hardness meter...The Sanmuzuo tested as well as other high end 67 layer VG-10 blades...I ran my usual cardboard cutting length test...For those who don't know cutting cardboard dulls all knives very quickly...The Sanmuzuo cut 45 ft. before showing signs of dullness, which was equal or better than most other VG-10 blades...So the beauty and detail is there and the blade retains it's sharpness equal to or better than others in the same price range...Sometimes they go on sale so watch for that..

Chipped after 7 months of use
I love the knife! But it chipped after 7 months. I was cutting raw chicken on a wooden cutting board. I would like a replacement knife, but I don't know how to go about it. I tried to upload a picture but it wouldn't work. Also cannot find a website to do it directly. A $130 knife shouldn't chip like that!

MALO MUY MALO
El acero es de muy mala calidad y el aspecto horroroso no se parece en nada al realmente comprado

Husband loves it
It is too big of a knife for me but it is perfect for my husbands bigger hands. Very sharp and uses every-time he grills out

Good grip and edge
I've been looking for a larger knife to compliment my current kitchen knives and I think this fits in well. First, the packaging is top tier, very nice. The edge was razor sharp out of the box. I've used it on veggies and chicken and it slices through easily. The handle fits my hand well and I have an average hand size. I prefer the European style of chopping so this isn't perfect for that but with some adjustments it works fine. The finish is also eye catching and my house mates have all enjoyed using this knife so far.

Beautiful knife - SHARP and tough - Etching is faint - $$$$
This really is a beautiful knife. It's heavy duty, made well and feels good in the hand.Good balance and cuts very well. The blade is super sharp and tough. This knife cut through meats; vegetables like beets, which are very difficult. Sweet potatoes, all of it with ease. It's worth noting that the etchng is nowhere near as dark as it appears in the ad photos. The knife is indeed etched, but it is very light as you'll notice in my photo. Not a big deal for me, but it might be for others. It's a big plus that it's made from Damascus steel; which means that it will last a long time.It is expensive, but like anything else, you get what you pay for. This is definitely a professional grade knife.

Expensive! But I can't get enough of these Damascus knives!
Where have Damascus knives been all my life? (Don't say "Damascus.") These Damascus knives are INCREDIBLE. They've changed the way I cook. Y'know how you kind of have to force a regular knife to cut something all the way through? Not with Damascus knives. To a Damascus knife, EVERYTHING IS LIKE BUTTER. These slide right through. This one is no different. It is a great chopping knife, nice balance, and beautiful, to boot. This one is definitely quite pricey - $130 for one knife! - but it may be worth it. Alls I know, I'm NEVER going back to non-Damascus knives, ever!
