A super fun read!
Book recommendation for lovers of Greek Myths. Recently read "Athena's Child" by Hannah Lynn, and I was captivated by the author's retelling of Medusa's story from her perspective. An engaging take on the classic myth that will leave you wanting more. #GreekMyths #BookRecommendation

Such a good retelling!
‘The gods are the ones that cause this, their power, their strength. Their stubborn anger and terror. They show man everything they cannot have control over and, as such, force men to claim dominion over the one thing that they can.’‘Gods do not pay the price for their wrongdoings, Perseus. Mortals do. The gods, like the rich of the world, push their agendas onto those whose voices are not loud enough to speak for themselves. The women. The weak. The unwanted. And no one shouts for those who need it the most. Why would they? To shout for another is to risk losing something yourself. And man cannot see beyond the depth of his own reflection.’Daughter. Sister. Priestess. Protector. Son. Brother. Demi-God. Hero. Monsters. Gifted and burdened with beauty far beyond that of mere mortals, Medusa seeks sanctuary with the Goddess Athena. But when the lustful gaze of mighty Poseidon falls upon her, even the Temple of Athena cannot protect her. Young Perseus embarks on a seemingly impossible quest. Equipped with only bravado and determination, his only chance of success lays in the hands of his immortal siblings. Medusa and Perseus soon become pawns of spiteful and selfish gods. Faced with the repercussions of Athena's wrath Medusa has no choice but to flee and hide. But can she do so without becoming the monster they say she is. History tells of conquering heroes. Tales distorted by time. Medusa’s truth has long been lost. Until now. Now it is time to hear her truth. Revel in this powerful retelling of one of mythologies greatest tales today. My thoughts: This book has been sitting in my Kindle Library for years! And it took the author releasing it and @bookmarked to send me a copy before I finally read it! I'm extremely disappointed I didn't read this sooner as I really enjoyed it! I'm very familiar with Medusa's Story as this is my 4th retelling of hers I've read but this retelling was one of the best! The writing style is so smooth and easy to follow and I felt like I was there with her living her story. This is such a good one! And I can't freaking wait to continue reading this authors other works!! If you guys like Greek mythology please please give this one a shot! You won't regret it!I give Athena's Child by Hannah Lynn ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

what a tragedy!
I have always had mixed feeling towards Greek mythology. In one aspect, I am appalled by Gods with no morals or values, who use humans to satisfy whatever means they are in need of in the moment. And often, I conclude that is the reason why their worship didn’t last; for who could worship someone so unworthy of their devotion. But I’ve also been pulled into mythology from the tales of their great heroes and monsters. Has anyone ever wondered why their monsters are so monstrous? This book, exploring Medusa’s “monstrosity”, gives us that very answer. It is a sad tale that touched my heart deeply and reminds me that our choices are still our own no matter the circumstances. I did not expect this book to make me grateful to be born in my generation and enjoy the freedoms I now have. Well written. Happy reading.

lione of the better mythical retelling
Pretty decent retelling. I have new empathy for Medusa’s fate.i liked that it wasn’t a singular focus in Perseus. Mist will agree it isn’t a faithful adaptation but that is half the fun with these books

I Loved this book!
I really loved this book. I love Greek Mythology and this book was perfect. It is accessible to all as it provides background material that you may or may not have remembered being taught. I love this series. It is one of the better written enjoyable ones on the market. If you loved "Circe," then you will also enjoy this. "Circe," lets you enjoy the Greek Mythology by simply reading the novel. This is very similar but not as long as "Circe." I only make the comparison because the novel provides you with enough of the background that you may have forgotten. In other words, you can enjoy this without having any prior knowledge. I am looking forward to the new release which isn't available. There are two in this series so far and they are standalone. I would also recommend "Helen had a Sister," which was excellent and a welcome surprise.

Pretty Good
Creative retailing of a story lost through time. Although some of her character designs fit more with the Vikings than the Greeks this was still a fun adventure. The ending was rushed, but as a whole the book was rather enjoyable.

Very nice read if you like the genre
It was an impulsive purchase, i didn't even read the reviews but i love greek mythology and it's been a while since i wanted to read something about Medusa. If you like this genre, i recommend you this book! I really liked the story, also the fact that the author added Perseu's point of view.If i need to find a little negative side is just that i personally would have loved it to be longer, to know more about Medusa, but this is a personal opinion. The book is very good!I'm Italian, so if English is not your first language i can say that you can read it without problems because it's quite simple

Brilliant!!! (No spoilers review)
“Some believe that monsters are born monsters”This book is an amazing retelling of Medusa’s story and perhaps one of the best. It gives Medusa humanity and compassion that we often don’t see.If this book is your introduction to Medusa’s and/or Perseus it is a good one as you get both the retelling side and the original story from their different POV!Easy read and fast paste, I loved it.

Great easy read story
Found this book a great read without the “oh gosh, now who was that god” sceanario of mixing up which god represents what. For something light & not heady..it’s a good read
