Tachometer Mount, too!
I was having trouble finding a base mount for a 2.5" tachometer when I ran across these fittings.They have a wide range of diameter capacity due ti their original purpose of clamping onto roll bars and the like. I used it to mount my tch in my older Toyota pickup. Using the bolt hole to secure it to the steering column hshroud. Used a metal backing and a bit of two sided tape. Works great, was cheaper than any tach mount. I did get a pair so that was one more than needed but it was still cheaper.

Did not fit 3" pipe
Did not fit the 3-in roll bar on my truck. Especially with the rubber grip strip that included. Also you cannot rotate the clamp openly around the pipe, you have to slide it together which gives you very little wiggle room. Once I got it closed as much as I could I had these pliers to try to close it together all the way so that I could insert the screws. The threads stripped out. The clamps themselves are heavy duty and actually seem pretty well made if they would just have stronger threads it might have worked.

Not as advertised
The item does not fit the advertised size tubing, as measured with a caliper. It is not round, but oval, so will never fit properly, and it cannot be forced into round for risk of breaking or weakening the metal. Damages finish as you cannot use the included rubber liner and still get it to fit on the advertised size tubing. For all that, it is robust, and if you are using 2.5 - 2.75" pipe, this would likely work fine. For clarity, I was attempting to fit this item onto a 3" round bar, with a max advertised fit of 3.2." Not even close.This is the same Chinese junk as competitors with a Nilight logo painted on. Avoid. Spend the money and buy a proper bracket from ARB or Baja Designs. I will be.
