A warning for muppets like me.
You get two backdoors and one float- why? Because the doors are different sizes!! I didn't realise and stuck it (very carefully and precisely) to the wrong one. D'oh. I like the product and it does the job now I've moved it to the right backdoor but I'd appreciate a big "HEY PLOKER- think carefully about which door you use!" sticker on the box. Now in the back of my mind I'm always wondering if the restuck backpack will hold properly.

Quality product, purchased for the quick clip
As usual, the official GoPro quality is present with this accessory, and the kit that can be used in many different ways. The head harness is very adjustable, both the strap that goes around the head and the one that goes over. The straps feature wavey stick pads to allow it to sit firmly on the head. With it fitted, you can jump up and down and the camera will sit firm. I was concerned that the mounting plate would prevent the camera from looking straight ahead, but it allows the camera to sit horizontal. The quick clip is ideal, and can be used in a variety of ways, the reason I bought it was for use on a reversed baseball cap. You can mount it on the peak of a cap (it’s a little weighty though, but it may be okay for the session). The foam pad on the back of the clip gives comfort when wearing it, and it contours round slightly to sit flush on your head. It also could be clipped to belts/straps.

long and poseable, but unsuitable for motorcycle
Longer than i thought (a good thing). The bottom has a plastic buckle mount (without the rubber insert but it feels tough and secure, albeit potentially brittle). The middle comprises seven ball-joint segments for posing. The top has a bracket to slot in a buckle mount. It all goes together very nicely with my Hero 8 up top and my Tube Clamp down bottom. The poseability is stiff so probably just based on friction between the plastic surfaces. You need to put effort in to move it, and the GoPro doesn't weigh enough to make it sag under its own weight. Promising, however when attached to my motorbike's crash bars its length works against it, as it doesn't just vibrate but sways violently (albeit still held securely) and this means that the GoPro's image stabilisation has to work overtime. The result isn't pretty, and is distracting. It's still well-made and I can imagine this being super on a static or slow-moving mount-point.

How to mount better
I've had these out in larger surf and on my windsurfer with no problems but you need to think how to mount and apply some adhesion science to eliminate peel loads - don't just stick onto a curved deck. All adhesives don't like peel even the foam PSA used on the gopro.Step 1: scrape away old surf wax & Solvent clean. Abrade. Solvent clean. Keep the silicone paper on the 3m adhesive on the gopro mount. Dry fit to see the gaps at the sides where you need good adhesion to stop it peeling off ! (if you think just pressing hard to compress the foam adhesive on the gopro to account for a large gap is ok then you are kidding yourself)Step 2: Apply some Epoxy or polyester ahesive around the circle perimeter. Press the mount down to spread out the adhesive and wipe the excess of the edges (don't put much adhesive on as you only need a bit on the edges to level the mount area). Allow this to cure. The mount will come away as still has the silicone paper on it. Now sand this to prep for bonding. Solvent wipe. Now you have a flat base to stick to all ready to go.Step 3: Take of the silicone paper on the gopro mount and stick it to the flat baseI used some polyester UPOL car body filler on my polyester surf board and would use epoxy on an epoxy board. Stoked with the camera footage.Dr Dan the composite man.

Genuine go pro case
A replacement as I had broken the closing catch on my original cover. I was looking for the catch but as it’s a wrist cover it is a different size to the normal locking plates. The price was amazing, probably because go pro hero 3 has been superseded by newer models. Exactly same as previous case. Unfortunately after a few swims the seal failed! Rendering water damage to both camera and battery. Contacted Go pro who gave not answered. Nothing was trapped in seal and it closed properly.

Good quality piece of kit.
So I bought this to go along with my new Hero5 Black for when I was skiing.I also own the karma grip gimbal stabiliser so I had the ability to check the quality of footage from both.I used the chest strap initially and the footage is pretty good. The only issue is that the camera will not angle back towards you very much. So if leaning forward, whilst skiing for example, you get a lot of ground in the shot.I also had a rucksack mount for attaching the karma grip which gives good stability and footage, but it's a delicate thing and extreme sports such as skiing can put the grip in peril of being damaged so I'd probably use the chest strap in future for skiing and leave the gimbal at home.I'd recommend this for activities where your torso is fairly upright, unless you like (or want) the ground in your shot.Note: The image shows the camera inverted, I must say I have not tried this yet. Not sure if it gives inverted video or corrects itself like an iPhone. One to test out I think!

Flexible mount for many applications
This is a very clever mount that can be used in a wide range of situations. I find it most useful in places where I don't have a specific mount or a specific mount does not exist. It's great for clamping the gopro to static objects - doorframes, tables, street furniture - anything the jaws will clamp around. Once in place it will not move.I have also used this on bike handlebars - again very steady but you do need to pack out the clamp slight to reduce vibration and noise (wrap some cloth around the bar first and it kills the vibration), The mount does provide some useful biking options as it allows for off bar mounting and mounting in different places very quickly. The bendy is very flexible yet holds position very well, however bear in mind if it gets knocked or bumped into it will move. The flexi-arm can also be removed and the GoPro mounted directly to the clamp (you can also use the bendy arm with other mounts)
