If these pads are wanted for someone who is active outside the home, it may be better to look elsewhere. They are large, quite bulky, non-stick pads that are held in place by underwear. The design makes them suitable for men and women. Although large, they are significantly less absorbent than the largest pads available, the 'maxi' size, available in packs of 21. These ''extra" pads do cope with heavy daytime loss, but if the loss is greater at night-time due to fluid retention, a heavier duty pad will probably be needed.Fluid loss is also dependent on body size, so a small framed person weighing around 55 kilos will probably be fine.They are comfortable to wear. once in position, but not discreet. and a bulkier outline is visible under clothing.They are significantly more absorbent than anything available on the high street, but they are distinctly 'as used in care homes'.

The photo shows absorbency level 3. What I received for my mother were absorbency level 1, and they are smaller than we usually have delivered. Would not recommend from this seller.
