Pros - only had it one night, but bf woke up same time as me (7am) just for a chat, which DOESNT happen, so I guess it gently put him in a decent mood!I read a few reviews saying it was super hard to set it up. I disagree, and I've got a very flimsy attention span. There are two alarms which is great, and there's also a whole dedicated group of buttons for just putting on the lights, NOT as an alarm. I like that the buttons for either alarm or light display are all separate, because I know I'm not interfering with the alarm settings. You're not constantly using the same button in different ways and hoping for the best.It's easy to change the volume of the alarm and the brightness you wake up to.Cons - the sound options are a little naff, perhaps partly because the sound quality is pretty terrible, but I settled on chirping birds on lowest volume as a gentle wake up.You can tell it's very mass produced product, looks great and the light dissipates nicely behind the plastic cover, but I'm not convinced it will last "many years".

My older sister had originally recommended this so I had gone and bought one to see for myself.This is a simple yet lovely multi purpose clock, with multiple features, a personal favourite would be the different light modes, it’s almost soothing for the winter nights, similar to aurora lights.The brightness is adjustable if you don’t want it too bright in the mornings such as myself and will gradually get lighter if you set the sunrise feature in the mornings (in this case I use it my phone alarm and the light from the clock simultaneously)It can fiddly to work with at first when setting it up but once you have figured it out, it’s quite easy to use from then on. The instructions were fairly clear to me so didn’t take me too long to work out.The nature sounds included are definitely a plus and a lot better than the aggressive standard alarms and wake up more refreshedYou can set two separate alarms with options Mon-Fri/Sat-Sun/Mon-Sun if you want to rotate between and adjust if need be once you know the controls.The FM radio/sound generally could be a little better in terms of quality of sound however this shouldn’t be a problem if you don’t use the sound at full volume and want a lighter sound.The design is simple yet stands out and makes a great night light at the same time and fits with any bedroom for everyone :)Overall - the sound/FM radio could do with some improvement but overall I recommend for the price and value and fairly happy with this. :)

When my partner started having to get up at 5 to get to work at 6 it was not easy for us to adapt that change in our routine because we are both night awls. in other words we would be more likely to read until five in the morning than waking up as such ungodly hour. Getting dressed when it was still pitch, donning multiple layers of clothing to keep the damp and the cold at bay when our bodies screamed for a few extra hours of sleep took a lot getting used to, until this clever "rising sun machine" came into our life. This light that gradually grew in strength, accompanied by lovely sounds evocative of nature waking up, would slowly penetrate our sleep in a well paced crescendo until we would weak up at the right time and in a good frame of mind. This waking up experience was so pleasurable that I, who did not need to get up until much later, could wish my partner good morning with a smile, turn round and immediately go back to sleep. So I warmly recommend this product to everyone. Everyone, that is, who can make sense of the singles printed on the box to make the damn thing work. In our case it was a 4th year PhD student who was staying with us at the time, who being much younger than us and very gifted eventually managed to set it up for us. Eventually however my partner timetable changed and our friend having left us by then, we tried to set the alarm for a different time but failed; so what we are left with is a very expensive silent electric clock / mobile charger. Do you think I should ask for my money back? I would like it better if they included a decent instructions manual in the box.

I had this for a while before using it as I was holding off on decorating my room. I have been using it for a few months now and the time is not accurate. Although I input the time correctly, over time it adds minutes so it shows a later time than it is and needs to be constantly readjusted. I had got one for my sister and she has the same issue, would not recommend!

This is a great value alarm clock. To use the settings you do have several unobtrusive buttons around it's edge, but soon get used to what's where! The wake up is brilliant although I am a very light sleeper so wake as the light comes on before the birds song! Loads of choices for modes , sound and brightness. I love the sleep mode too. The option to turn clock time off for sleeping I love. You can set a dim light if you wake up in the night just to see your way around. I bought the Philips top clock first and sent it straight back as nearly as big as my dinner plates and I thought very unattractive and clumsy looking profile. I love contemporary but this wasn't! This sunrise alarm and wake up clock looks a hundred times better and does so much for far less money. I highly recommend it.

I really liked this clock. I liked that alarm 1 was on the opposite side to alarm 2, I found it easy to set up, the way the light softly got brighter in the morning. I even liked the birds chirping. But - the battery backup didn't work, so having set it up I unplugged it to move to position where I wanted it - I lost all my settings. I noticed a few other people had this problem therefore I didn't order another one. A shame really.
