This is a great quality turntable mat
This is a great quality turntable mat, and improved (a lot!) the sound of myDual CS 455-1M (more extended highs, more detail, better control in the bass, better seperation of instruments and "imaging"!).I'm very satisfied, could not ask for more from a turntable mat, and couldn't believe(until now) that the sound quality could improve so much, just changing the mat!

I have set the mat on a Project Debut Esprit with acrylic plat. Even though I have played only a couple of records I have noticed a little improvement of the detail in the high frequencies. Considering the low price of the mat I reccomend the purchase.

Sticks to some discs and is tricky to peel off as it is of smaller diameter than 12" disc
Why carbon fibre? Carbon fibre can be conducting hence it could perhaps remove dust from the disc, except that this has an insulating backing. In practice I have found that it actually sticks to some discs and the problem then is to get it off because it is smaller in diameter than a 12" disc, hence one cannot avoid scraping the edges of the disc with one's nails when trying to peel the thing off. One could I suppose stick the mat to the turntable but I would rather not. Upshot was that I used this ½ doz. times and then put it in a drawer and bought another mat.I have given it one star, not because 'I hate it' (which would be a childish thing to say, grow up Amazon!) but because I do not consider it to be useful or usable; who wants to be scraping the thing off one's discs? What did I buy instead? An Inspire Audio Acrobat - does what is says on the tin.

It works
used by me on a rega p3. the sound is changed dramatically (wider sound stage, transients improved, more detail, improved realism especially). play dire straits "sultans of swing" from "alchemy" with and without to demonstrate.

Nice platter mat
Nice platter mat, reduces static build up but does not completely get rid of it. Looks good on the turntable.
