Color was very dark green, not tourquoise. Handmade book and latch works. I had to dye the inside leather to match the outside as the craftmanship on lacing was a bit sketchy. I fixed.

The journal arrived last night and already the cover is split and the center stitching around the stone is loose. I'd send it back if I hadn't written in it already. It's still usable at least until the cover splits the rest of the way, which it absolutely will.

Bought this as a gift for my daughter. She loves it. Made well. I know it will last a long time.

I use this latched hand made notes for writing idea, thoughts, and inspiration! When I pull it out of my purse others just admire it and ask where I bought such a beautiful writing notes!

Nice paper think it just makes what your writing seem more special bought for my wife to make work notes in looks great on desk and if she is looking up or reading something to someone they seem to pay more attention then if she is reading a sticky note feels more like a manifest or Bible information is just taken more seriously I think she is also more particular about what and how she writes in it neater more structured so easier for her to use previous note book had lots of chicken scratch in it she loves it she was just promoted to a more difficult position at work and feel this simple little change made transition easier

I love these journals have purchased many over the years. But this one so so well made and the color is beautiful. Also, I give them for gifts for friends. They use themfor garden books, diaries, drawing and writing journals.

Look, you get what you pay for. This is a $13 “leather” journal, so don’t expect an artisan masterpiece. If you can let that go, then I think you’ll find it’s a nice looking journal. Basically, the way it looks in the photo. The color is really pretty and looks good with the stone. Binding and clasp are sturdy and the pages look good. I read another review that said it was sloppy, and I think that’s exactly right. It has the right aesthetic, but again, you get what you pay for and so it is overall a little sloppy. Also I had to knock off a star because I have another very similar journal from another seller (same price) which feels much more like genuine leather. As in, more like fabric. This one feels like it’s been painted and the dried paint is getting a little crispy.

I love this book. It’s absolutely beautiful and makes me want to journal every night. The only negative is that you can’t really write on the left hand side because the gemstone pokes through. But other than that it’s a lovely book & I’m glad I purchased it.

This notebook is very beautiful. The colour and decorations are gorgeous. It even smells good!So why not 5 stars? It's not put together very well. It's not going to fall apart... I don't think... But when you open it goes all crooked. It's hard to explain without handling it... It's just kinda loose.I have other hand made journals and they don't do that.So this one looses a star.

Awesome value in comparison to others like it. BUT it arrived with a slice in the leather in the front cover and the lacing is torn at the top or unfinished... maybe coming undone. Damage is circled in the pics. Otherwise love it. Have created a return and hopefully will hear from seller to replace it.
