Rice Stick Noodles for Pho, Stir Fry, Pad Thai, Chow Fun, 16 Ounce Each, Pack of 4

Super easy to cook, I place the noodles in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil... consistently is perfect and they taste great! My dog has colitis and is unable to eat rice, these are a perfect substitute, she loves them and I love them too! Super convenient to purchase on amazon and have delivered. I used to go to an Asian market that is way out of my way and they didn't always have the size noodles I wanted in stock.

Makes the best Pad Thai. Soak in room temperature water for about 30 minutes before throwing in the Wok. Delicious and authentic!

But beware you get alot. Which isnt a bad thing but you will be eating alot of it ;-)

Typical rice noodle. Tasty, no complaints.

Just what I wanted - thick, solid noodles. Cook until some of the ends start to fall apart, tasting regularly, then strain. Perfect slightly chewy noodles like any good Thai restaurant.

So, these noodles taste fine. But they are not good for Pho, and they are definitely not vermicelli sized. I got the "1mm" size, expecting that (similar to how Pho noodles are served in restaurants I frequent) would cook in extremely hot broth within a matter of several minutes. They do not. In fact, no matter how long I leave them in the hot water, they don't ever get anywhere near the texture I was expecting. Which probably has to do with how thick they are. They are at least as thick as spaghetti. If they had been vermicelli sized (like the description claims) they may have cooked through. They just ... don't. My intention for these noodles is completely out of reach, even though the description makes it sound like they are intended for this exact purpose. (I don't think I'm trying to do something outlandish here). Anyway, not as advertised.
