When I open rugs ordered from Amazon, I kind of brace myself You can't see the full quality and the thickness of the piles.This rug is absolutely beautiful and the quality is excellent. I wish I had gotten a longer one.

Bought for the truck seat. It has longer and shaggyier wool than expected so it may just stay as a pretty couch throw. Don't want to mat the long fleece. Nice size and finished skin side hide. Makes me think of Iceland sheep in size, length and texture. Would buy again.

Pros: The thickest, softest, most gorgeous rug ever. Shipped in very cute, branded duffel bag with a slicker brush. I really wanted to love it.Cons: This rug emits a very strong, funky odor. So funky that it activated my gag reflex. Numerous sites said to sprinkle with baking soda on and off for a few days and air it outside in a shaded area.It drew flies :/

This shearling STINKS!! Like dead animal smell.Avoid!

Purchased this item to use on the sofa as a throw for pets. It has now become their favorite spot to lounge and is saving my sofa. Love it and my son came home from college and loved it as well so I bought him one for his college room

It's large and soft. The wool is very long and there's even a few natural curls in it still, definitely authentic. The hide side is tanned very well. My original intention for this rug was to actually make slippers with it but it is so thick and the wool is so nice that it may just stay as it's intended to be a covering to sit on and be warm. It does have a faint smell, likely from the plastic packaging or maybe the tanning solution. Im sure it will air out but it's only noticeable if you actually sniff it
