Just what we needed
Our son kept dropping his bike instead of using the kickstand and the hand brake took the brunt of all falls and finally broke. The new brakes came quickly and replaced the ones ones wonderfully. My son said they were a little harder to squeeze at first, but he’s gotten used to them now! Glad to have a spare as he still hasn’t figured out he needs to slow down and use his kick stand.

Solid brake levers with added grip
I actually wore out the original brake lever on my dirt jumper. The lever was loose and the tension adjustment would no longer hold in place. The Corki brake lever was a drop in replacement where I didn't have to replace the cable. High marks for built for maintenance. So far it's been solid and provides plenty of leverage to work with a mechanical disc brake. The added rubberized grip ensures my finger is not slipping off when hitting the jumps. The -1 star is for the fit and finish. Fortunately I have longer fingers, so the distance from the lever to the bar is not a big deal. I did adjust the lever a bit closer to the bar (2mm required btw) and the screw pushed through and chipped a bit of the paint around the exit hole. Something to keep in mind when using these levers.

These are nice!
These look so much better than the banged up ones I was using prior. This with a new set of grips and it’s made a drastic transformation. Solid construction and works with no issues. Would recommend!

Nicely made.
When I first picked these up they felt a bit heavy to me. An image showing one lever says they weigh 7.9 oz. (224g), but that weight is apparently for the full set, with a single one weighing 3.75 oz. (112g).I confess that short of braking a lever, I lack good criteria for evaluating them. I have many bicycles. Most of them have been much improved from their stock condition, but I have replaced few brake levers with new ones. They don't seem to be a coveted upgrade. (One bike got new hydraulic levers for disc brakes.) All of the bikes have alloy levers, and almost all have alloy lever housings, though two have nylon or plastic lever housings). Some of the bikes combine shifting and braking functions in a single alloy housing. Most have an adjustable lever to bar distance.Examining other alloy lever offerings on Amazon, I see similar weights (usually a bit less), but widely divergent prices. Most are less expensive, and some are much less expensive. Many of the cheaper ones have reviews indicating that they are easily broken. These appear to be very nicely made. They are smooth and look sturdy. The brake to lever distance is adjustable, and the adjustment design is particularly inconspicuous and finely engineered.I think they are a bit expensive, but I've no firm basis to downgrade them.

A nice upgrade from may bike's original brake levers
I'm riding an old Raleigh Ace from the late 80s, so, yes, I'm clearly a casual rider. When parts wear out, I have to see if it's mechanical or personal! With the original brake levers, it's definitely the bike part that was failing. The old ones just weren't safe. There's a reason they don't sell them anymore. These new levers have been a nice, simple upgrade, and now I'm feeling a lot more confidence stopping. Very happy to have them! Now to get back on the road.

Easy To Install And Solid Construction
Installed it on a classic adult tricycle and it works very well. I know it doesn't match to the patina of the bicycle paint but it makes up for it in the braking. The levers are easy to install. Your handlebar needs to be at 7/8"" in diameter. You'll have to remove the grips, install the levers, and then reinstall grips if you're planning to buy these. Inserting the brake cable is simple as well. Adjustments are easy to tune to the amount that you want to slow down your bike. If the lever has a wobble, there's an adjusting screw to tighten it up. It's also spring loaded to retract back when not engaged. Great pair of levers to modernize any classic bike or replace damaged levers.
