Victorinox it looks like competion is on the horizon
GAINSCOME Fruit Carving Knife come out of the package razor sharp and ready for duty. Save yourself a cut or two when you order this knife and invest in the no cut glove that is out on the market. That thing works. I mainly use Victorinox knives because they are sharp. I have lost them before they have gone dull after years of service. I like this knife, but not ready to commit to more yet. I want to see how this is going to work against the tried and true. This knife is a dream to work with. Its thin, and its sharp. Cutting tomatoes into newspaper thin slices won't be a problem, in fact it will be a badge of honor. This knife almost feels like it becomes a part of your hand while you are using it. I know it sounds corny, but it does feel like a flick of the wrist and this knife responds.Doing fancy vegetable and fruit trays shouldn't be a problem as well. This knife should plow through any mountain of produce you throw at it and cut it when it hits. Don't have a mountain? It will slice through your family's dinner.I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher, it doesn't take that long to wash and dry a knife, do it and go ahead slip it back into the sheath it comes with, call it a day. This is a great knife. It is a hard recommendation. If there is one thing for certain, DONT use this knife to cut or open PACKAGES. Get you a pair of scissors, or kitchen shears for that job. This knife is $12.90 with a 3.00 coupon. great deal. Just don't cut yourself.

Very sharp
I like the size, very sharp, the only thing I dislike is the blade is very thin and flimsy I like a stiff blade

It's pretty good .
I'm a pretty good home "chef" , I'm also very modest . I feel that any task you undertake , you should use the absolute best quality tool you can afford . I love all kitchen tools and gadgets , especially fine quality knives , I have paring knives I have paid over $100 for and chef knives that were four times that , and there are the knives that are for the family to use , (more like "abuse") . This falls into the second group . It's decent , holds an edge as long as the other paring knives in that group that cost much less . I don't dislike it , but if I don't feel like getting one of my good knives out of the locked drawer I keep them in (yes I am that goofy about my cutlery) I always have to sharpen it , but any of the "family Knives" need sharpened . It's OK but it's not any better than some I've paid a third of the price for . The blade cover is a nice touch though . I won't recommend it and I won't say not to buy it , it's OK .

Very sharp
I'm not an expert, but I don't think the top knives have plastic handles like this one does.On the other hand, it is textured, so easy to grip and does not slip. But how does it cut?Very well! I used it on a mango. The knife I've been using, well, I'd have to saw and saw. This one went through the mango like the proverbial hot knife through butter. The knife I've been using, frankly, I wasn't so careful with, as the chance it would cut off my finger was nil.Not so with this one. It is extremely sharp. It also comes with a plastic sheath so you don't amputate a finger looking for it in the drawer.Bottom line: good knife!

Great little paring knife that can travel
This is a simple and very lightweight knife that works well. I have more knives than one needs, but I'm often looking to find a new blade that serves a certain purpose better than others. This parer is very lightweight, and when combined with the excellent slip sheath this is going to make a great parer to take on picnics or keep in the camp kitchen. It comes plenty sharp for the intended purpose, and it appears to have an interesting concave edge - very effective and long lasting, but not an edge I see a lot on cheap knives. So far it has proven to be stainless. Win!

Light and cheap feeling but sharp
Not bad for a $13 knife, very light and feels a bit cheaply made but it's sharp.
