Beautifully unique! I am a person who loves unique things. I am always on the lookout for things that others may not have. So this was a great piece I couldn't pass up. It is so beautiful, it will fit in my decor no matter where I put it. It is great to have a piece that others actually relied on years ago before all of our electronics. So far it has been accurate, but it does say to give it up to a couple of weeks to be sure it is truly acclimated to the environment. So over time we will see, I have it up on a shelf and I can't help myself but to stare or hold it. It is glass though, so you really do have to take a certain amount of care when handling. It is a good size, but not huge but I didn't want huge anyways.

This item is so cool! The tear drop glass shape is so pretty. This item is very fragile. Handle with extreme care. It comes with a wood base to sit on. Make sure to keep it somewhere safe and not near any direct sunlight, air conditioning/heating vents. The storm glass needs a few days to adjust to the climate. Crystal form in certain patterns inside the glass that tell you what to expect from the weather. We've had cold snap here in the south and I was able to see the formation for freeze. My kids love checking it everyday to see the crystal patterns.

It's a beautiful work of art, however, it doesn't forecast/predict the weather as anticipated. I followed the directions of allowing the storm glass to get acclimated, however, living here in the NorthEast, we had 3 Nor'Easters this month, and the glass never changed in appearance. We had a few warmer days and it still didn't do anything. Was hoping to see it work similar to a glass barometer, but my kids and I are totally disappointed. It's a pretty item, but it doesn't do its job.

It is nice looking piece. I have not seen much activity in the water though, and we have definitely had a variety of weather here. Also, I wish there was a little more going on with the wood block. It could use a nice stain or something. It seems lacking in comparison to the neat glass.

Purchased this product for my boyfriend who just loved the weather. Set up not in direct sunlight or in the path of a draft, where there would be the most consistent temperature. Set up on Jan. 11. Per the instructions, that this could take up to 2 weeks to acclimated, it still has yet to do anything. We have yet to see any changes in almost 7 weeks during our EXTREME weather which has included, torrential down pour, sleet, ice, temps in the 30s dropping to 20s over several days, and several odd, very windy days with 60 - 70 degree temps. Yes we tried moving it to another location. Still no change. Per the other recent customer reviews, I have To agree that this literally does nothing. Not able to return, save your money!

Soooo, we have been wanting one of these for a while. We saw one when we were in Europe but it was about $100, which I understand why now. This one is significantly cheaper but it doesn’t seem to work, which is such a bummer! It’s soooo cool looking but it literally hasn’t changed for weeks now and the weather has definitely been changing nonstop... so something should be happening. For example, we have been having hail storms, rain storms, sunshine, etc.... yet it just stays the exact same. So I am concerned it might not work but it still looks pretty...Pros-Cool lookingAdorableCons-Doesn’t tell the weatherDoesn’t seem to workI would probably pay for a more expensive one that works next time!

I received this on February 6th, it’s now February 24th. When I first received the item I noticed there was crystallization inside. When it finally settled in my home it was clear with nothing going on. We have had numerous weather changes, snow, rain, ice, nothing has changed. It’s still clear. I rated this 2 stars in simple hopes that it changes. Otherwise it was a total waste of money

Wife wanted this. Looks cool. Doesn't do ****, though, so don't pick out your clothes for the day based on this "weather station."
