Doesn’t work
It doesn’t work. At all. I ordered two and tried them both with two different sets of lighting headphones (both of which work fine with other devices) and tried each one in both of the USB-C ports on my MacBook. Nothing. The MacBook doesn’t even recognize that an alternate sound ouput is plugged in. The MacBook is new and in great condition: both C ports work fine, and audio works fine with the 3.5 plug. II have no idea what the problem is, but I’ll have to return them.

Works like a charm!
The lightning audio adapter works so well! I plugged it right into my headphone cord and I was able to use it without any issues.

Good quality
This is a really good quality cord, it's built really well you can tell right away. However it didn't work with my specific iPhone 15, I'm not sure why. The plug would just get kind of hot and it would disconnect the audio the whole thing didn't work.

Did in a pinch, used with an Apple wired set of headphones on my Google Pixel. Works great.

iPhone 16 adapter for my earplugs
I’d read reviews on other adapters that the connectors were loose causing poor reception. These are solid and work great.
