Good Chair
My ratings are Good, Fair, and Poor; so, my rating is at the top end. Hope your smiling. I like the sturdiness of the chair (unexpected for mailorder), and the appearance. I am very pleased with the lighter Cherry color, adds a bit of cheer to the room. And the ability to fold the chairs to get them out of the way for housecleaning is a big plus. Hoping you'll keep the same chair and color; I'll be ordering another couple chairs.Thank you and a smile, goes to your construction team.

Sturdy and Comfortable
I needed some extra chairs for dinner parties. These chairs are very sturdy, comfortable and nice looking. They are VERY hard to open. I'm a 66 year old woman. I had to lay them on the floor, tilt the seat out, place a foot on the bar that connects the back legs and pull the seat up. Luckily, I can store them without folding them up. My only issue is the color. My dining set is dark cherry, these chairs are a closer match to my medium oak kitchen set. It's not a big deal because they will only be used when I need extras.

Attractive, sturdy, very hard to open
We bought 12 of these chairs in order to host the family holiday gatherings. They are very attractive and sturdy when set up. They will easily hold the weight of a large sized adult. We were also surprised at how nice the wood finish was on all the chairs we bought--no stain drips or color variations. The finish is kind of a satin non-reflective medium dark cherry color. These chairs have a seat height of about 18 1/2 inches and the seat width measured at the front edge is 17 inches wide so they will easy fit extra people around a table. The only problem is these chairs are very hard to open, I mean a real struggle. We are going to try some spray lubricant and hope the mechanisms loosen up with use. We would buy these chairs again despite the opening problem, but someone with a disability, such as arthritis, might have a problem.

Great for family dinners
These chairs are like skinny versions of my Queen Anne dining chairs. Which makes them great for squeezing more family around the table. Very comfortable too. The only drawback is that I can never remember how to open them up. So I just ask a guy to do it and then stand back and watch them struggle until they figure it out.

Exceeds expectations
Ordered two sets. Needed nice looking, comfortable "spare" chairs for dinner parties, to replace metal chairs which are not designed for "substantial" people. These chairs are elegant looking, and will hold up for years. Yes, it took me a few minutes to figure out how to unfold them,( there were instructions on the underside of the seat) and to limber up the hinges, but it was worth it! My guests were comfortable. They do not fold and store as tightly as a metal chair would, but still fit in the space I had for them. I wish the upholstery came in a darker color, but so far no spills have stained them, and the neutral color fits with my other chairs. They were very well packed for shipping and arrived in perfect condition.

Smaller matching addition to existing set.
I needed chairs that were narrower than my existing chairs to comfortably squeeze more people around the formal dining table. These echo the lines of my existing chairs and the wood color matches well. They are basically classy folding chairs. The cushion is comfortable and they seem built to hold up well for the occasional use. My 220 lb husband is comfortable on them. Since they blend so well with my existing furniture, I keep them out rather than fold them and put them away. They are a good fit for what I needed. It's the smaller chair in the picture.

Satisfied With These Chairs
I like these chairs even though they are a bit pricey. I use them to add an extension to my Queen Anne dinning table when I have a dinner party of more than 8 people. They are solid and sturdy, stand on their own while folded, and open smoothly. The finish is OK, but they used to have a better finish quality in the past which was more in line with the finish you see in high-end furniture.

Very classy chairs!
I got these chairs to go along with four I ordered a couple of years ago. We only use them on holidays, but they seem very comfortable and sturdy. They blend in with my formal dining set very well. I agree with one concern mentioned by several other posters, though. They are very difficult to open and close. It's not that they need WD-40 or that the joints are too tight, it just always takes us a while to remember which part to pull on and which part to push on.
