I have a couple of cookie recipes that are very tough on cookie scoops. The 2 Tablespoon size is my favorite but had become unusable because the metal band that pops the dough out was misshapen by the force it took to release the dough and it no longer worked. I have had good luck with the quality of gorilla grips products in the past, so I bought this scoop and I am glad I did. The metal release band is more substantial than my old scoop and the padded handles make it very comfortable to use. Another reason to trust Gorilla Grip products!It releases stiff dough easily with one squeeze. I did find that when I made the dough softer and stickier with extra eggs, that it took a couple of squeezes to get the dough ball to release. My old flimsier dough scoop did appear to do a better job releasing the sticky dough, but I still prefer and love my gorilla grips scoop because I am tired of taking apart the cheaper scoop and trying to get it back together after the release band gets sprung by stiff cookie dough.

This mighty scooper did an excellent job in preparation of mini sandwiches, using Hawaiian rolls and chicken salad for the morning of baby shower. Thought for a minute I was a pro. 😉 Definitely worth it!

I’ve only used this once, but my cookies were perfectly even, and scooping them was super fast. I found the 2tbsp size made about a 3-4” cookie. They looked like they came from a bakery! My 11 year old was able to help scoop, so it’s a nice easy action that doesn’t tire your hands. It was so fun I may have to start a side hustle baking these cookies :)

The size is perfect for my purposes, which is scooping ice cream onto trays for freeze drying, however, the scoop doesn't push out the as much of the material inside the scoop as I prefer when you squeeze the handle. There's almost a 1/4 inch gap between the bowl part of the scoop and the little piece of metal that goes back and forth inside. This leaves product left inside the scoop that when you have to dunk it in water to warm it up to make scooping easier, too much ice cream gets washed away. This is very wasteful and I will be seeking a different scoop for this purpose. The size of the scoop itself is great because it makes nice little bite-size morsels but the loss of ice cream is no bueno.

I wish I would’ve gotten this sooner! I’m an amateur baker and have been getting into baking filled cookies. I certainly think that they are my specialty because of how many filled cookie recipes I’ve tried. I’ve always used a measuring spoon to scoop my dough and sort of eyeball how much dough I need to cover the filling. Usually takes me a while to get the cookies assembled on the tray but now I just keep scooping. Downside to this however, is that some dough will inevitably be left inside, the mechanism that scoops the cookies doesn’t go in all the way. Not a huge deal for me though.

Make sure you read the sizing because I got the Gorilla size cookie scoop and no one wants to eat frisbee size cookies. Super durable though and the metal mechanism hasn’t broken.

The media could not be loaded. Very frustrated. The 2Tbsp scooper broke my first time scooping cookie dough with it. Now only pushes the top attachment halfway through the scoop. Worked great on ice cream the night before. Not sturdy enough for cookie dough.Which I was shocked because I have the 1Tbsp one and it does awesome with cookie dough. Unsure why this one failed.

Batallé mucho para conseguir este tamaño de cuchara, es el equivalente a 1/2 cda. Si me simplifica mucho el trabajo pero el metal que bota la galleta no toca hasta el fondo, lo que hace que se vaya quedando masa pegada atrás y por dentro. Tengo otras que arrastran súper bien y sacan toda la masa para evitar que esto pase, pero bueno, aun así cumple con el propósito.

Lo esperaba con muchas expectativas, la verdad al momento de usarlo se trabo y ya no funcionó correctamente.
