Does well for what I wanted these for and it had nothing to do with sound..
My little kids love playing in the conservatory especially when the weather is not soo good but there are times when the games they play with involve throwing things at the wall or riding there little toy cars into the wall. I do enjoy my diy tasks but not the same task time and time again.I saw these and thought that I could adapt these for my problem. I needed something temporary that I can take down so that the conservatory can look normal again. What I did was to mount these on thin plywood board and then attach these to the wall space that I need to protect. I did this using picture hanging velcro strips so that I can completely remove if I wanted.I am no expert with these things but they came compressed in a bag. It is a bit like duvets or pillows and you open and leave them to return to their manufactured form. I was in no hurry so left them to do what they needed to do in the garage for a week. They seem to expand to something resembling the images in the listing. What they did for me was to provide some kind of barrier to protect the walls as well as some kind of absorption to things being thrown at or bumped into and whilst not perfect, I know I wont need to keep redecorating the room. For my usage, it is not a perfect solution but near it. For the money and time needed to install it, I think it gives me some time to breath and work on other parts of the house so for that I am very happy.

Improves the sound of your podcasts and voiceovers. This is no sound proofing though
Acoustic foam panels are used to reduce room hard surfaces from reflecting sound and causing echoes. They don't stop the sound from passing through so are hardly sound proofing. On arrival the panels are vacuum packed and once released from the package they take a few days to return to their expected shape and thickness. I fitted them to the panels so that I can make a voice over recording booth that lets me get better quality sound. They do work, but the improvement is relatively minor. I was expecting somewhat greater isolation and richer sound as I know my recording kit is capable of that.I like that they have self adhesive panels on the back and are easy to cut to size. You may need more than 1 pack of 12 if you plan on using these in a room rather than a smaller vocal booth.

Not sticking to my walls.
Must be a faulty batch I've ordered a few batches now and all bar this has been fine, but 24.99 it's not ok.

Let them expand
These come vacuum packed and look rather flat when you open them. However, if you let them rest for a day or so, they expand into a proper sound dampening shape.12 panels, stick well and can be put on folding cardboard panels to make a portable recording studio, or stuck on walls for a more permanent set-up.Excellent for recording whether it's podcast, videos for social media or music.

Give these a few days to form their shape!
These sound proofing panels come flat packed in vacuum bags. It takes a couple of days for them to form their shape. I layer them all out on the floor and over two days they all came back to their natural shape.I’m not going to stick them to the wall but to a thin piece of ply, which will then lean against my lounge wall. It means that I can have them for when I’m practicing my music, or need to do some recording. They seem to work well enough for what I need.I’m not sure they’re value for money though.

Need soaking to reform properly.
This set of 12 acoustic panels arrive vacuum sealed in a bag measuring approx 31cm x 31cm x 2.5cm.Inside, you get the 12 panels measuring approx 30cm x 30cm along with a users guide. To get them to their correct size/shape, I first left them out for 24 hours to see if they would naturally reshape once out of the vacuum sealed bag. They barely changed in that time, so I soaked them in water, squeezed it out gently then left them to dry naturally spread out on my worktop. They have now grown to their expected depth of a bit under 5cm after another 24 hours in a warm dry environment. The glue seems to have been effected by wetting them though, so they haven't stuck that well (to a panel, I don't stick these to my walls, I stick them to panels I can stack away). These panels will not soundproof your room at all and will barely cut down on noise either escaping an area or coming into it.What acoustic panels do is trap some of the sound that would bounce off the area they cover, so you get less echoes in the room. This improves the sound quality of your audio playing in the room or of recordings you make in there by trapping some of those echoes. If you are looking to soundproof a room to block noises, you need a completely different and much much more expensive product.I do a fair amount of audio recording and have tried out many of these sort of tiles.I would say these are about average for tiles in their price range which is at the lower end of the performance scale. If you are just using them to improve the sound quality of a Zoom call, a You Tube talking head video or similar and your room sounds a bit bouncy, they are likely to be an improvement on what you currently have.I wouldn't use them to record something more professional which would be sold as an audio product as they just don't seem to catch as much as other similar products under the same conditions. They do work, but not as well as other options.I really wish these were not referred to as sound proofing though because they absolutely don't do any such thing and I think it really confuses people. They will however improve the sound quality within the area they have been placed if spaced out in a good manner.Ideally to be used with at least some bass traps to catch sound in room corners too.
