Ajax Scientific ME505-1000 Plastic Tubular Spring Scale, 1000g /10N Weight Capacity, Brown

I bought this for my daughter to use in a school science project. It is very robust and well made and worked perfectly. It is suitable for up to 1kg and the spring seems strong.This is easy to use by hanging or holding the one side and attaching the hook to the other and then pull the item along to get the weight. It is very accurate. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing to use this tube style spring scale. It seems very good value for what they item is.

I wasn't expecting much at the price. I bought two just in case and checked calibration with a digital scale. They are both almost identical only out what one would expect with 20 gram intervals (2-3% error roughly).

Habe mich von den guten Rezensionen leider beeinflussen lassen, die angeben, dass es eine genaue Teilung hat, die aber in Wirklichkeit auch nicht genauer ist als bei bessere digitale Zugwaagen zum gleichen Preis. Wollte eigentlich 1 Gramm Teilung haben. In der Angabe steht 1000g/10N das suggeriert eine hundertstel Teilung, da habe ich mich in die Irre führen lassen. Die Teilung ist aber 0,2N das sind 20g also eine 20 Gramm Teilung (pro Teilstrich) für mich zu ungenau, nicht brauchbar, ein Fehlkauf. Man hätte auch 20 Gramm Teilung schreiben können und nicht die blöde Newton Angabe die in die Irreführt, aber vielleicht ist das bewusst so gewählt, daher nur 2 Sterne.

Use for subcutaneous infusion of fluid for 16 year old cat with failing kidneys. Infuse 150 grams 2 days out of 3. Use digital scale to determine actual amount (it turns off during infusion so need spring scale like this to know when done). Agrees well with digital scale.

This spring scale, as delivered, matches the picture here on Amazon. It therefore has both zero and full-scale adjustments. It is shockingly accurate! It is easily good to 1 division which is 0.2 N. Amazing for what is intended as a child's teaching tool.
