Wow what An Amazing Story
Tijan is a natural storyteller. I enjoy her books πππ immensely. I loved this Kian and Jordan aka Jo's story. The gist of the story is, is that Jordan became an orphan after her parents died and she had no relatives that would take her in. She went into foster care and was from one family to another until she was placed with this family where the father was not a good person. He thought Jordan was a demon because of her eyes πποΈπ but it was just his lust for someone who he knew he couldn't have. It really is a good story and of course, Tijan covered issues that happen in our society and did an excellent ππΎππΎππΎ job. Another well-written story worth purchasing. Good Read. I would highly recommend this book ππ.

GREAT BOOK
This is a wonderful book about something Americans have a hard time deciding about, murder. It involves the torture of a young girl and the boy who saved her. As always Tijan delivers.Jordan is in a window when her foster father is torturing her. A young Kian sees what's happening and saves her by murdering her foster father. Now Kian is out of jail, two years later and Jordan doesn't know how she feels about it. She has also seen him by chance in her new life. She has been in hiding for the last two years and she has a new name and a new life. She doesn't want to lose her new life but what does Kian want and why is he following her.Jordan's roommate is going to interview Kian and wants Jordan by her side. How can Jordan do this interview and take the chance that someone will recognize her. When the murder trial was going on the press hated her. If the press finds her again she will not be able to handle the hatred again and the constant hounding by the press.Kian wants to see her let her know that he doesn't blame her but also for other reasons. His family is wealthy and they want to make sure that Kian will not be tried again for murder. Who will be the next one to be tried for murder if not him. He was let out because of an error made in his trial. This story has twists and intrigue. You see what's happening to Jordan and you just want to save her. At the same time you feel for Kian and you don't want him to go back to prison.

Loved Kian!!
β β β β 1/2Another amazing read by Tijan! Kian is the story of a killer (Kian) who is out of prison and trying to redeem himself. Jo (Jordan) is the girl who's life he saved and is in hiding. When these two finally see each other again after two years, things definitely get interesting. After Kian killed her foster dad and she was made out to be the villian, Jordan went into hiding, changing her looks, identity, and her name to try to live a normal life. She doesn't let people in except the ones that don't ask many questions, which is Erika and Wanker, her roommate and their best friend. When Jo starts seeing news everywhere regarding the release of Kian, she gets distracted and starts to make mistakes. Her friends think she's just being flaky, but she's intrigued by Kian still, but scared of the media trying to find her again. When Kian shows back up in Jo's life, she's scared, but at the same time, wants to be near him. Her guardian (FBI Agent who helped her hide) Snark warns her to stay away, so she lies when asked and says she doesn't see him. Watching Jordan and Kian start to build a trust with one another, and getting to know one another was pretty awesome. You could tell that Kian was still holding things back from Jordan, but also that he cared for her. Secrets between these two finally come out, and I kept waiting for the shoe to drop and for Kian to say he did something that Jordan wouldn't be able to forgive him for. But instead, I saw Kian in a new light, he may think he's a bad person, but he has a heart of gold and really wanted to help protect Jordan from her pain.Things between these two are definitely tricky, and once the media finds Jordan, things get even worse. Her friends feel betrayed and the only person she has is Kian. Watching her rally to get her friends back so she had her "family" was awesome, and I adored how Erika helped Jordan, while helping herself of course. Wanker was a truly awesome friend to Jordan when they had a specific conversation, and you saw how much he really did care for the girls. This is one story that took me on many twists and turns. I read this in one sitting and fell hard for Kian and Jordan's story. It wasn't easy, it was messy and the things they had to deal with aren't fun, but their story truly is beautiful and amazing. Tijan has a way of writing a story that draws the reader in and makes you forget about everything else around you. I highly recommend this one if you're looking for a fast paced somewhat suspenseful new adult read!

another great book by this author
This book had been sitting on my kindle for this past year and I am kicking myself for not reading it sooner as it was so good. I was immediately pulled into the book from page one and I was so engrossed in the story that I was loathe to put it down. The premise of the book is unique and is what originally drew me in, but this author has a way of weaving story that will put you through all of the feels. Parts of this book pulled at my heart-strings and other parts had my head spinning. Kian, what can I say about him other than I loved him. He is intense and has a bit of darkness about him, but he is so incredibly protective and caring towards Jo. Jo is a survivor and a strong heroine. She endured so much and yet the media painted her in a horrible light - thus sending her into hiding. Her world is about to unravel when Kian is released from prison early - he is out for revenge? My only issue was in the very beginning, Jo didnβt really seem to have any gratitude towards Kian when she first encounters him after she is released from prison. Instead, she is more fearful of him and more worried about the media finding her again. Further into the book, I did enjoy seeing more of these connection. Kian and Jo were both interesting, well-developed characters and I also loved the secondary players as well - especially Joβs friends. Overall, I really enjoyed Kian in that it had an interesting storyline, had engaging characters, moved at a great pace, and involved the right amount of drama and intensity.

Loved it
Tijan always writes books that have so much emotion. Kian is no different. Right from the beginning you could feel the pull between Jordan and Kian, but there was also no mistaking the conflict and tension. From the outset, you could clearly tell that Jordan was a very strong girl. She had endured a lot and came through the other side stronger. She settled into a new life and adapted, despite the secrets she had to keep hidden from those closest to herOnce I started reading this book, I couldn't stop thinking about it. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about where the story was going to go. I fought sleep (and won!) just so I could read the next bit. Then the next. Then the one after that! I became hooked, very quickly. But, I tend to find that is the effect Tijan's books have on me.

LOVED this book
Woowiee! Tijan has done it again! Every Tijan book I read I say to my mum itβs my favourite one! π I honestly feel so blessed to have found Tijan as an author as she writes the best books! You just get sucked into the story, making it feel like youβre there with each character, feeling what they feel, she certainly knows how to bring her books to life. She manages to pull you in, right from the very first sentence. This book has all the emotions and makes you want to read it in one sitting! I would recommend this to anyone who loves angsty, suspenseful romance. Itβs for sure a book Iβll read more than once!

Again a riveting book!
Have to admit once I realised that Erica's great scoop was Kian I worried about how Jordan could emerge. It was nicely managed and it became unbelievable that the injuries she, Jordan, had suffered that she would become the gates enemy. One observation. Surely a restaurant as posh as the one Jordan worked in would set cutlery not present it wrapped in a napkin?

Never disappointed by Tijan
These books never disappoint. You're always pulled in deep and forced along the emotional rollercoaster that are all Tijan stories. When in doubt Tijan is always my go to. The blurb doesn't do this story justice. And it broke my heart.but I loved it so much.
