This game is so much fun I thought I had accidentally donned my Enjoyment +4 Helm Of Hilarity before I started playing.Picture the scene. It is a dark and stormy night. Thunder rolls across the blackened skies. In a smoky tavern, a door crashes open and a lone rider enters. The rain has soaked through his thick cloak, but still he cuts a noble figure.Tearing the hood back from his head, he shakes dry his attractively unkempt brown hair and calls to the assembled cutthroats, lowlifes and ruffians on the darkwood benches,"Who wants to play the Red Dragon Inn? No girls,"As he speaks, he produces a gaudily painted box from the folds of his cloak. Colourful figures drink and cavort on its many faces, but around the rider the merriment has ended.A silence descends upon the grimy drinking-house. Call it the Hack And Slapper, for that is its name. The hardened fighters, the lowest men in the filthiest tavern of the very worst repute, all are too scared to respond.Until one voice alone dares to speak,"Aye, I will play against you, rider," the voice seems to slither from the shadows, "though you know me by name and deed, and have shouted from the mountains and towers that I am naught but a braggart and a cheat. And a fop besides,"The speaker stands now, his arms spread wide and a grin on his dashing face. The rider's blue-grey eyes grow cold as he recognises his mortal foe. For is the face before him not his own, but slightly less handsome?"Why Andrew," he hisses, "My evil brother, and sworn enemy besides. How is it you are here? I heard you were hanged eight years agone, for gambling with crooked 20-sided dice,""Indeed, benevolent Lord Jonathan. 'Tis I, your scoundrel of a brother," the rogue smiles, "and indeed they tried, but I slipped the noose and plotted my revenge. After eight long years, tonight I made haste to this hostelry. Knew did I that ere too long you would arrive with a fantasy-themed board/card game based around drinking, and a mind to play it,""Aye, you always were a slimy young whip of an eel, brother," the rider's enchanting eyes narrow, "Indeed I have such a game, which boasts simple rules and yet provides fun worthy of strong ale and bawdy song. But why hasten here and wait? Why not take ship to some unknown shore, with your ill-gotten gold and multiple Dark Elf mistresses?""Ah, 'twas tempting, of course," answers the man known as the Greased Fox of Winterwatch, "but you know better than any that I cannot resist a game of chance, especially when the stakes are... so very high,"Feeling the snake eyes of his no-good blood kin creep to his chest, the rider takes a step forward. Why would I gamble with you for what is rightfully mine as a trueborn son, you scuttling spider of loose morals and many intimate infections?""Because," smarms the rakish figure before him, "if you do not, you'll never again see your true love, the good Lady Buxoma... alive!""You fiend!" the rider's beauty is not even slightly diminished by his grief and anguish, "you have forced my hand. Very well! Sit you down at this bench before me. Call for more drinks if you wish, and let us play,""Let us indeed," smirks the double-dealing dandy as he sits, "also, my brother...""Yes?" queries the rider,"Can dad play too? He says it looks good,""Ooh, go on then. That'll be fun,"And so it begins.

This was a present for my son's birthday & he loves it. He's in his mid twenties & my younger son (mid teens) also loves it. We can all play it together & as you can choose to play as different characters, it's a different game each time. It has enough strategy to be interesting but doesn't take too long to pick up. The product is very good quality.

It took me a while to get used to the rules, because I am old and have poor eyesight. However, my involvement in the game is much improved by having a cardholder as I do not have to hold all the cards and can put my glasses on when I need to. It is a good game and I can recommend this.

really good fun game. easy enough to pick up, characters have enough depth and different play styles to add an extra learning curve. highly recommended

Got as a gift but happy with it. Good game to play with 4 people

Game is quite balance when you play with expansions and people but there's match ups like the Dwarft against the Priest (1v1) that can be pretty annoing. Overall the game is a must but the ammount of expainsions can make people not to buy the game

Red Dragon Inn became immediately one of the favourite game of my group of friend. You will love it so much that you will need to buy the expansion set in order to allow more people to play at the same time. It is fun and quick to play with just a couple of rules to be remembered. The quality of the cards and accessories are all high quality!

I bought this for my partner and he loves it. It's a very fun game, best played with 3-4 players.

Great concept and really fun game. If you like Munchkin then this game is also for you. Only downside is that you will need to buy additional characters to keep it fresh.
