The Truth About Delilah Blue: A Novel

Excellent story line with complex and intriguing characters -- this one is definitely a winner. From the first page on, the writing style draws the reader into the fictional world with exquisite imagery. "But when the sun finally burst through the salt-stained curtain of winter, you took notice. Even at eight years old, you knew to plunk yourself in its lap, wrap its edges around your waist like a favorite sweatshirt you left on the streetcar and thought you might never see again." Highly recommended.

I sat outside this morning and finished "Delilah Blue." What a captivating group of complex, quirky and palpable characters woven together in a sometimes heart wrenching -- always engaging story.I just adored Lila/Delilah; wanted to take Kiernan to the park and teach her to play. I yearned to smack Elisabeth a few times yet felt sympathetic toward Victor -- and I'm a divorced mom. Adam is unique yet universal.I loved the ending -- I loved the whole book. I didn't want it to end yet I raced to the last page.

Unlikable characters. Read to the end to find out what happened and didn't much care then.

This is the second book I've read by this author, and I loved it just as much as the last. I did find the last two chapters to be a bit pointless, but that's a small price to pay for an all in all great book. I would recommend this author to anyone...I truly hope she has more to come because I am enjoying her work!

I bought Delilah Blue after reading her book Inside Out Girl. The two Tish Cohen characters I've met so far are unforgettable.If a story/character/title/author is unforgettable to me, that's the distinct mark of literature.Not a chick lit fan, just love a good story.I really enjoyed this novel, couldn't wait to get back to it.

Great richness in the characters portrayed, with keen insights onto the human condition, laid out with great warmth and understanding.

I was light reading.
