OHP KKL COM RS232 Serial port OBD2 Diagnostic KL K-line Interface Cable Serial K-line interface supporting ISO9141 and KWP2000 protocols Interface has 1 K-line through pin 7 and 1 L-line through pin 15 No drivers needed, works directly from computer COM port, appears in (Windows) Device Manager as COM1 Using with (through) USB to Serial converter is possible (requires device drivers for this mentioned converter), but does not give any benefit over USB interface while it loses benefit of direct connection. I.e. if Serial interface is absolutely required for certain procedure, then direct serial must be used - no adapters, no PCMCIA cards etc Suitable for many older cars, such as Volvo, BMW, VW and more, which do not support communication through USB converter, mostly from before 2000 Can be used on newer cars, but due to low data transmission speed it is not recommended NB! Do not expect high data transmission speeds from direct interface. This interface is not for high-speed traffic but rather for reliable connection without any disturbance and data loss.
