Not sure why they designed it this way but the pins are in the locked positions with the levers sticking up. Its somewhat of a safety issue. The pins should lock with the levers down like ever other quick attach.

The levers are not backwards they are designed to lock when in the up position. It's a better design and it does not cause a safety issue. Other manufactures are using the locked pins with handles in the up position. It feels like the pins lock up solid, and you don't have any of the problems associated with pins locking with the handles in the down position. The picture in the ad shows the pins are locked with levers in the up position. People are having difficulty with adapter and skid steer mounting plate. The measurement between top and bottom locked position is 16.5 inches. It's best to order the adapter and plate from the same manufacturer if possible. IMO the handles are much easier to pull up to lock pins and provide a better visual. Make sure that the adjustable bar in the middle is welded. I also welded and I Iam adding an additional 2" tube to give it a little more stability. You're saving a lot of money using these adapters and the modifications involved in getting them to work is well worth it.I like the challenge and saving a lot of money doing the mod's myself. I learn from it and feel confident in my work. You only live so long so enjoy your time. Some people complain about the smallest things. I am happy just to wake up in the morning. Works well, but tolerances are not perfect, but works fine.
