This is the only thing I have bought that has been able to keep them from chewing my cord. And I have tried a few different things. It's a hard thick plastic. Reminds me of the old time phone cords. Then I wrap it with electrical tape just because. Love it!! It will be my go to from here on out.

My darlin tuxie (SEE CAT TAX IMAGE HEREIN) adores chewing on electrical cords, and will even be impudent and snag a chomp right before my eyes. But I have vital gear to protect - a UPS so my hard drives won't get killed by power outages and all the other cord & cable folderol that goes with my computer and ISP gear.Best piece of advice to anyone who needs to use this is -- shut down & unplug everything for a while. It's going to be an hour or so of wrap wrap, untwist flipitty flip, wrap wrap, untwist, flip flappity flip! so pack some snacks while ya do it.My delightfully insolent little cat has not been able to get her wee jaws round these buggers since I wrapped up a lamp cord, and all but one of my computer power cords. I have LOTS!! left over to finish thigns up, there's plenty in the package -- and she has discovered other fun ways to be teenager-ish.I love my cat, and I love my machines.

This is exactly what we needed for a new kitten who is chewing everything. They are not the easiest or quickest to get on but do the trick.

I run a home business. And I also rescue kitty cats who like to chew. They want to be near me in my home office and they're all the time chewing on my wires. They could mess up a $10-$28 wire in just a few minutes. I love the cord protector. It saves me a lot of money in replacement time for all of my wiring.

Works great to stop my bunny from biting. Size down for smaller cords. Or go bigger to but them all in one, thats a good option to remain organized. The cord mess is crazy lol.

The intended installation is simple in theory; you basically twist it around your cable of choice until you're done. But no matter how you do it, it WILL become progressively more difficult and then impossible to twist any more lengths around your chosen wire after only 5 or 6 small 'sections'. I think this is basically unusable for any cable that is more than half a foot long (if not less), or any cable too large for you to simply push the protector through the end, which will be all but the very thinnest cables with the smallest connectors.

My little rabbit does not.like these as he is unable to chew through these as he does regular power cables. Highly recommend if you have pets.that chew at cables.

My 2 year old cat still tries to chew through these, but is unable to do so. Has saved me many charging cables, and saved her from getting zapped.

This helped make sure to protect my cords from my cats that like to chew. Taking away one star as it is a little difficult to put on the cords. Good product for protecting the cords and my cats health.
