Works great on a Monoprice Select Plus IIIP printer but the leads are way too long
I purchased these to replace the noisy fan on the heat sink for my Monoprice Select Plus IIIP printer (same as the Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus). The original fan was noisy from the day I received my printer and it eventually died a few days ago. The new fan is incredibly quite. In fact, after I installed it, I had to actually look at it to see if it was turning. Once the fan is at full speed, you can hear it running but it is still much, much quieter than the original.I have noticed two issues with using this as a replacement on my printer:First, the lead length is much longer. The original fan lead was 80mm (3.14 inch) long. These fans have 290mm (11.4 inch) long leads (see pictures). I ended up bundling the extra length up inside the housing on the back near where the connector plugs in.Second, as others have pointed out, these fans take a few seconds to get up to full speed. I don't consider this a significant issue, especially in my use case where it is on constantly while the printer is on.Replacement fans are $8 each from monoprice (plus shipping) so I figured getting five for basically the price of one was a great deal. Even if they don't last as long as the original, they are quieter and cheaper than the replacement fans from monoprice. And, bonus, I automatically have some spares on hand if one goes out.

Cheap and Useful
These 40mm 5V fans come in a nice plastic case. The small 40mm 5V fans are very useful for smaller projects with MCUs, Raspberry Pis or MOSFETs involved so it's worth picking up a 5 pack. At about 2 bucks each, they're a pretty good value too. Running them at 60% PWM seems to be more than adequate cooling and also keeps them in a nice and quiet zone; when running them at full blast they do output quite a bit of air but also become high pitched and annoying.

Works, but not for long
Had gotten these to replace the cooling fan on my 3d printer. It runs pretty much 24/7 and in a month two of them failed and worse while I was in a 10hr print. Needless to say the print failed and I had a clog all the way up the PTFE tube. the noise level is about average, but the amount of air flowing is less than I would of liked. If you are using this to cool of some critical part, I would suggest to look as something else. For the occasional cooling and running this fan, then sure but don't know how long they will last. mine lasted about a month of being on all the time as my 3d printer is always on.

Great Fan!
They are great! Very quiet, pushes a good amount of air, and the wires are long! The price is great too!

Very quiet
I, like many others stuck an allen screw in to my fan on my Maker Selct v2 while I was putting it back together after removing a piece of filament after the roll ran out. When I got my printer the extruder fan would make a god awful squawking as the machine was booting up and then normalize, but was never very quiet. I bought this printer as an open box and I suspected that the noise might have been the reason that someone returned it because it was otherwise a perfectly fine printer. Needless to say, after I broke off three blades from the same side of the fan the fan was VERY noisy and rattled anything that wasn't secure in it's wake.I say all of that to qualify my review because I'm about to rave at how quiet the fan is, but it could be because I've been living with a fan that was on it's last leg for a couple of years and one that was severely damaged for a week or so.Having said all of that, this fan is incredibly quiet. I booted the machine after replacing the fan and waiting for it to come on.... waited....must have reversed the wires on the plug when I shortened it and put it back together... NOPE it's just that quiet. Can't hear it at all. My printer sits right next to me at my desk and since we've been quarantined it's been running pretty much all day every day and it's such a better experience now that the fan isn't rattling or squawking at me. Recommend these fans if you're looking for a quieter (than mine was) replacement or if like so many of us that have these printers, have stuck an allen wrench through your fan at full speed and broken off some teeth. Eventually the imbalance will wreck the fan anyway so you might as well go ahead and order some.

Noisy but they do blow air. Don't expect long life.
After receiving another set, these earn 3-stars. The fans are noisy but they blow air. They work better in a vertical orientation than horizontal. When blowing air upward into an electronics bay, for example, most of them are very noisy, especially at lower RPM settings, and they do not last long.Original review:Unacceptably noisy. I expect airflow noise, but the amount of harsh rattling in the bearings is just awful for a brand new fan. Two of the five buzz at any speed. A third is very noisy at any setting less than 100%. The other two are acceptable - so far...Just be aware that buying these is a gamble and most of the fans in a 5-pack may be unusable.

Better than stock!
I broke the fan blades on my 3D printer extruder fan. I was worried that the lower Amp rating of these fans would be insufficient. But, I bought them anyway, and I don't regret it. They run quiet, and it blows harder than my stock fan did. The wire was a good length, more than I needed for my printer, but that was easy to remedy. You get 5 of these fans for the price of a single replacement from the 3D printers manufacturer. Good quality and highly recommended.

Great replacement fans
I ordered these WINSINN fans as a replacement for the stock hotend fan on my Ender 3 Pro, as I had accidentally broken some of the blades and it was making huge amounts of noise and was not working that well. The first time I turned on my printer after installing the fan I thought that I had connected the fan incorrectly, because it was so quiet I didn't even realize that it was on. It still moved air like the old fan, and I have not had any issues with temperatures. Would recommend.

They are alright
The fans sometimes fail after about a year and you have to buy new ones but on the other hand they are really cheap so it's not too bad for home use. For a server you dint want to open for years you might want to spend 4x the price but if you want something cheap that will need some maintenance then these are great.
