I work as a sound engineer. I wasn't sure about these but a friend had recommended them to me.They work perfectly. They are comfortable, let through exactly what I do need to hear. I'm much happier now that I can do my job and extend or not risk damage to my hearing. I do find myself interchangign the filters once I've got levels set up.

Tried these at a heavy metal concert which was really loud! The attenuation in terms of dB is very efficient but you can still hear the music clearly.I recommend this product to anyone who wants to protect their ears but at the same time enjoy a concert!

Bought for a few gigs & festivals; not sure how they compare to the cheaper options of the same style, but certainly a vast improvement over the cheap disposable foam ones which only let you hear muddy bass. Considering what you pay, it would be nice if the carry case was a bit better quality than just a cheap "leather" pouch though.

Using whilst grommets are in place for the gym. Good build quality and comfortable.

Comfortable but no discernible sound reduction

I've tried all 3 sizes and both types of filter but they simply don't work at all in my ears. They might work if they fit your ears perfectly but I still have my doubts. I have no reason to believe that they don't fit my ears, other than the fact that they offer no noticeable sound reduction. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. At best it's a total gamble on getting a perfect fit. I don't normally write reviews, but hope that this might stop people from wasting their money. I have bought Sennheizer products before and always been impressed.

I purchased these for the frequent helicopter trips I have to undertake. Fed up of using the foam earplugs supplied at the heliport and on the vessel. Tried these out using the full (sleep) insert. Very comfortable, but most importantly, cuts the noise down big time! Very impressed with them. Pricey, but good. Just 1 point of note: Make sure you put them in with the tab at the top as per the instructions.

Where I live it is very noisy, day and night. Being a light sleeper I need to reduce that noise so I can improve my ability to sleep.I bought these in the high hopes they live up to the standards I know Sennheiser for, after all, I have had some of their headphones and I really enjoy them.Unfortunately these ear plugs just don't work for me in regards to reducing the volume of noise a fair amount, even the full block plug version.I am comparing these to even less expensive foam ear plugs and also another silicon type which I recently purchased from another manufacturer and those work far better so for these honestly quite expensive Sennheiser plugs to fall short in performance to other and much less expensive options was just disappointing.On a positive note they are comfortable, the silicon is soft and they do not protrude out of the ear much so even for side sleepers like myself you can wear them all night without discomfort.They are also easy to insert and remove via the small tab you can pull on.In Summary: Comfortable well rounded ear plug kit that if it had actually worked in providing noise reduction a fair amount would have resulted in a great product but if it fails to perform its primary function then the product is just no good for me. I also find it very costly for just some silicon plugs, you can get electronic earphones for the same or less.
