10 Quarter Ounce Incense Pack #2

I recently decided to delve into burning resin incense with no previous experience, and I'm glad I did. I took a chance on this variety pack and a cheap tealight burner with the adjustable cup above the candle. It took a little experimentation with the amount of resin and how close the cup should be from the flame. I found the closer you get the cup to the flame, the more scent will be released as expected, so the lower temp you burn it the longer it will last I would think. A decent sized chunk should last at least an hour, so the amount of aroma that this entire pack will produce should last me a year! I tried a few different types with only a small amount, and every one of them smelled great. The smell of the resin itself in the bags reminded me of tree sap which I think it is, but when burned properly, it produced a heavenly natural scent that reminded me of being out in a forest, and not sappy at all. Almost like an essential oil but pleasantly different. I'm no expert on quality of resin incense, but this variety pack will be fine for me. I didn't read any reviews until after I ordered this, and I got nervous because of the only other review on this product was negative. I'm not sure the other reviewer knew the process for burning (melting) resin incense properly. It's not supposed to burn. It's intended to be melted at a fairly high temperature with very little if any smoke to produce a good smell that will fill an average sized room. I am very happy with this purchase, but I will most likely experiment with other incense resin products in the future. This was a good starting point in my journey.

Quality, smells great, burns faster than I would like but overall they were great smelling incense. 4 stars for the size of the bags.

Fast shipping with nice packaging. Each package is clearly labeled. Consistent weight in each bag and the consistent size of the resin makes it easy to melt. I use this with an electric incense burner. I haven’t used all of the scents but I like every single one I’ve tried. If I had any critique it might be that it appears a couple (the Shaman Blend for example) might have artificial color(s). I’m not sure but I noticed some staining in the holder that didn’t occur with the lighter color ones but that could also be due in part the the leaves. Anyway it makes cleaning just a little harder. It’s not a big deal and if you’re using on coals wouldn’t matter at all but I probably won’t buy that one again. There are so many other great options through this vendor. I will be purchasing again.

Good selection, allows me to find what works for me without getting a large quanity of ones I do not like.

Yikes it’s like they just used copal and dyed some of them while using different sizes for others as if to give the impression of diversity of resins. However: COPAL! They all smell of copal. The altar blends: copal. The dragons blood: copal (but is red, which means dyed COPAL!). And the 3 variety of copals the hit comes with all smell the exact same. There really isn’t any difference between them, as I would expect to be some kind of variation. The Three Wise Crowns and the Benzoin and the Shaman Blend are the only that have their own distinct scent profiles. (Shaman Blend smells like it does have some copal in it though)….darn what did I buy?
