I travel 3-4x a year and Rent-A-Car for the week. And have to admit I’m a heavy smoker and yes, I smoke in the rented car. A few years back I got hit with a $200 fine when I return the car due to cigarette smoke. I thought I aired the car out but apparently I was wrong. That’s when I started searching for a product to get rid of the cigarette smoke. I found this product and bought it in the mini size and kept it in my make-up bag. As soon as I unpack I keep it in the glove compartment. on vacation we travel and sightsee so we are in the car frequently so the car definitely does smell of smoke. Now, the night prior to our return flight, I close all the car windows and give the car a few quick sprays. You only need a little. I let it sit in the car for a minute to a bird and then roll down the windows and let the air go through the car. The next morning when I drive to the airport, I do the same thing. It’s been about three years now and I’ve never had to pay another cigarette /smoke fee. I’m packing for my next trip and realize I only have enough spray left for one more vacation so I’m about to buy another.I highly recommend this product. I am a person who relies on my views, so I thought it was only right to share mine. Oh, the product does smell a bit, but it goes away rather quickly. And for all you cigarette smokers, like myself who smoke in the car, don’t forget to get a rag, and do a quick wipe down between the seat and the door for fallen ashes - the car rental people look for that too.

I've been using this to get rid of a smoke smell indoors. It works decently well, and does have a weird chemical smell. The instructions seem to suggest that this shouldn't be inhaled directly and it'll cause eye irritation, but it seems to work better than Febreeze than 'removing' smells vs covering it up.

Ozium is classic by now, always works well! My only complaint would be maybe that it could last a bit longer and they really need to start coming up with some better scents, there are a couple, but you can only find very small canisters that don't last! Please make the citrus in the 8oz cans!!!!

The apartment next to mine is a chain smoker. He smokes all day long and well into the night. I’ve tried all the tricks - bowls of vinegar left around, baking soda everywhere, bags of charcoal I hung around in every room, hundreds of scented candles, febreeze, none of it would work (or work for long term). I hate it. I smell like I’m the smoker.Finally upon doing some research, I ended up reading about how someone would use this OZIUM spray to cover up the smell of their wacky tabaccy from their parents. I wondered if it’d work as well for cigarette smoke, and I’m glad to say that it does.This stuff is STRONG. One quick dose (think one-one-thousand and stop spraying) and you’ll gas out a room. First night I didn’t know, and I ended up accidentally choking out the hall. It is POTENT but it will work. Now whenever I do notice a smokey odor, this takes care of it. My neighbor also graciously accepted a can and I’ve noticed that they’ve made the effort to spray when they light up. It definitely helps and is 100% recommended by me.As a bonus, it also helped with some gnarly smells that happened when they had to do some work on the sewer line here. And it wasn’t like that fresh poop flower odor, just strong chemical lemon which I don’t really mind and very much prefer over sulfurous gas stench. I use this stuff frequently, hopefully I can move to a smoke free property soon but until then, this keeps the cigarette odor away even if it is like industrial strength air freshener. It even helps keep the cigarette odor off of fabrics like my clothes and window curtains. Completely recommend if you're stuck living with less than courteous neighbors that frequently smoke in their room, leaving you to choke on their secondhand smoke fumes in your own living space. It even helped the other night when a skunk sprayed somewhere near the hall, completely neutralized the stench with 2 doses in about an hour. OZIUM is a miracle worker!
