Needs 12V Supply.
It is a pity this does not have electrical specs stated. I assumed because it was designed for microphone phantom supply it would have a fairly wide voltage specification with a constant current drive for the LEDs. It seemed to be working OK from my 18V power tool battery, but after leaving it on for a few minutes the cheep plastic bulb head softened and the switch jammed. It seems to be designed for 12V maximum. The rest of the unit including gooseneck and plug are good quality and metal. I was able to cut the head open and fix it by trimming the melted plastic with a craft knife before fastening it back together with an elastic band. I have now used a car 24V to 12V converter to drop the voltage from the battery.
