Excellent product
I purchased this USB hub as replacement. With this USB hub I've been solving many issue easily. The devices which I'm currently not using I just turn off with easy button clicking and the devices which just need power I have plugged on power-only ports and since then no problems have occurred any more. The device is really beautiful, sturdy and has good sticking soft rubber feet. Cables are quite strong and seem to be good protected against interference. Data LED's are showing data transfer so I don't have to guess any more which plug belongs to which device. Power adapter works worldwide, which is another great plus for me, so I can take it with me on vacation. I've tested the power-only outlets and measured 3A and up to 12V and also all quick charge standards have been confirmed by my load tester. Very happy with it.When you want to add more and more devices to your trusty laptop or desktop, then a USB hub could be just what you need. Take it from a geek like me; USB ports are like gold dust, and we could all do with a few more of them. By turning one into four or five, you can make things a lot easier for yourself.Seven ports are a significant number to have as it’s often more than enough for what you’re doing. I loved the added flexibility it gave me because I wasn’t forever plugging in and unplugging my external hard drive. I could just leave it attached and treat it as if it were onboard storage. It’s the little things that make working easier isn’t it.Separate power buttons on each port give you great flexibility: perfect for laptop users ! By having a power button on each port, I was able to power down external devices without having to reach for them across my desk. That made my home office that little bit more ergonomic and generally just a nicer place to do business. And as you could see from the pictures, this hub don't take much space, as it easily fit inside one open hand. While 3.0 is the new standard; you’re bound to be like me, and have plenty of devices that still use 2.0, or earlier. I had no difficulty in getting all my them to talk to my PC, and subsequently, the data rates were preserved.

Great use for external USB devices
I needed a new USB-c hub to replace the USB 3.0 hub I was using to expand my Mac Pro port, I chose this hub, which is well made, small and portable. It expands three 3.2 Gen 2 USB-A ports, which I use to connect my mouse, keyboard and external hard drive, and also to replace other USB devices. Each port has a separate ON/OFF switch that allows me to turn it off individually when I don't need to use a particular device, and the LEDs also make it easy to know the working status of each device. For transfer speed, I didn't measure it precisely, but during use, I think its data transfer speed is a bit faster than my previous USB 3.0 hub.It also has SD/TF card slots, adds a function. I use it mainly for viewing pictures on SD cards, it works with all the SD cards I have now, and both card slots can be used at the same time. I can copy one to the other, very convenient for me.I also liked the design of the hub, the space gray color, matches my Mac Pro, and looks great on my desktop.

Make sure you have high speed ports
Great device replaced my old 4 port with this one. I only wish the cord was longer, but I know speed would suffer. I do like that the c phone charger port comes from the end. The power brick is only 60w and needs to be bigger. I have used the crap out of this and am pretty happy with it. I'm looking for another so don't buy them till I get mine.

Doesn't work connected to monitor USB port
I connected this to my Dell monitor (U3824DW) and it didn't work. After contacting the seller, they said this is a "multiple chips controlled hub" and therefore the USB ports on the monitor (or any other USB ports that you plug this device in) needs to be able to support this.I contacted Dell to ask if the USB ports on the monitor can support a “multiple chips controller hub”. Their technical team didn’t have an idea about that. So, if the technical team at Dell doesn’t know, I’m not sure how the “average” consumer would know. The seller also mentioned if some of the ports work (i.e., less than 5 ports), then the USB hub that is connected to this device is a "single chip controlled hub" and therefore all the ports won't work. For me, only some of the ports on the hub only worked intermittently which isn’t usable for everyday use. They suggest to connect directly to your computer and if all the ports work, then it's not a defective product. Therefore, before purchasing, suggest somehow checking this point if you plan to connect to a USB hub instead of connecting directly to your computer. It would've been great if they mentioned this in a prominent area before purchase and provide some indication on how to check this or a list of compatible hubs that this can be used on.I received a refund from Amazon - the only refund I’ve ever requested.

it works
I got this because it has multiple newer USB 3.2. My older USB3.0 was older and probably didn't support 3.2. Built quality is it is nicer looking, with some metal and chrome finish. My other one is all plastic. The switch is ok to turn on and off. The only thing is when the keyboard is attached it doesn't turn off the lights. In the old one, the keyboard automatically turned off when the computer turned off, but not here. Otherwise, it is a good product for the price. The keyboard not turning off is annoying.

Sturdy and flexible traveller
Met my needs for a powered hub when mobile with my surface pro. On road I need to backup hundreds of photo @ +40gb/photo. Before surface pro would crash in camera downloads. Also it allows me to have more ports on my desktop computer. In both conditions speeds were good and no issues with crashes or corrupt files. It is heavy but sturdy, a decent balance for my traveling.

Power supply didn't work
When using my own power supply from another product this worked exactly as I needed. However the power supply which came with the device did not power the device. I am returning the product for this reason. I may purchase another one hoping that it will work. But for 100 dollars I expect it to work.
