I've been using retractable hoses for years & love the ease of using them. But the material tends to snag on my screen porch metal door, or the edge of the cement patio. The metal covering solves that. I haul it out 100 feet to water my blueberry plants, then roll it back up on the holder, so it has gotten quite a bit of use. It's amazingly light weight, hangs nicely on the hose holder, stretches easily to the farthest reaches of my yard without kinking. Very pleased.

I was tired of dragging a heavy plastic hose around especially reeling it up is hard on the back. I was surprised this hose is much thinner diameter than I thought so it does not carry as much water volume as the plastic hose. That having been said, this hose is very light and easy to handle. It is easy to coil up quickly and neatly. At a former residence I had the longer and larger diameter version of this metal hose. If you want a true replacement for your plastic garden hose I'd recommend the larger one. However for just watering some flowers and pots this works fine and is much easier to handle than plastic.UPDATED April:I have downgraded to 2 stars. After using this hose for a couple of months I have found it to be unsatisfactory. The hose attachment to the faucet leaks between the hose and the female part so it sprays me with cold water when I use it. It is impossible to tighten even with wrenches because the knurls are very shallow and the tools slip. Tightening didn't seem to do anything anyway. The shut off valve is extremely hard to turn by hand. It requires pliers or some other tool to turn it so instead of watering I am spending my time searching for tools and getting wet. The low flow may be good for pots but for watering many plants in the ground it takes a much longer time to adequately water them.Update: this cheap hose has totally failed now! I've never seen a hose leak like this. It leaks so badly that NO WATER COMES OUT OF THE END. The water somehow leaks out from a source that can't be found. Copious amounts of water cascade from whatever the lowest point is. You really don't want to waste your $$ on this hose. I have owned much better metal hoses perhaps they cost a bit more but you will not waste your money having to buy another hose anyway. This one is going into the recycle bim.

So far I really like this hose. It seems very durable...much better than the cloth ones. Works really well and is still retractable and light weight. The first one I bought leaked at the hose bib but I exchanged it and the replacement has worked great.

The hose leaked badly after 3 weeks of use.The leak is at the connection between the flexible metal rings which construct the hose and the attachment to the non moveable metal ring located just before the screw attachment.Once this connection broke watertightness wise, the hose leaks all water out of this leak.Bad qualityBad designDo not buy

I like the weight and easy to loop back to hose hanger. However, it's nice traits did not match durability.I purchased this late December 2023 and started leaking slowly 2nd week of July 2024 and now leaks more at the collar. I have another brand that I purchased in January 2023 and still going strong. I needed a 2nd one and this one didn't last long. I had several other stainless steel hoses before and those lasted around 2 - 3 years.

Update, had hose since January and now it leak so much it’s unusable. I see that the same happened to many others. Time to purchase a replacement from another company. Have hose for about 4 months now and I will never go back to a regular hose again. This is one of the best purchases I ever made. Really makes any activity that involves using a water hose so much easier, it’s light,strong (I ran over it with my truck on concrete driveway just a little cosmetic damage) and easy to manage and roll up. I live in Florida so I use it probably at least 4 times a week washing my truck,watering the plants and I hooked it up to my power washer also and no problems. Saw some rough reviews about longevity so I’m going to do a follow up if I can figure out how to and I’ll attach pictures also once I figure that out also. All in all this hose is awesome in my little world,would have given 5 stars but I did not get the nozzle or extra washers with it. Even if it only lasts another 4 months I’ll be fine with that and purchase another one the price is right. Can’t say enough good about it, blows a standard hose away in every category, definitely recommend. Keep eye out for update.

It does have a small diameter opening. So the water pressure coming out is low.

The attachment at the end of this hose that screws to the tap isn't deep enough; therefore, a lot of water leaks/sprays from the tap, even when using a rubber washer. Additionally. the hose pipe diameter seems smaller than usual hosepipes, so the flow of water is reduced. On top of this, the valve that is supplied with the hose drips when closed.This is just a super long shower hose. I would not recommend it at all, particularly if you plan to use it with a pressure washer, as the pressure simply isn't there.
