So I loved this cinch for my sensitive skinned Appendix quarter horse. It was great about not chafing and he was way better cinching up (he has always been cinchy) up until it started to get dirty, I always fluffed it after every ride, but finally it just became time I had to wash it , it was starting to get crusty and chafe my horse so I broke down and washed it... amazon description just says it is washable so, I bought sheepskin cleaner and put it in my washer on delicate cycle and a large section of fluff came off of it in the middle as shown on pic. Now after it’s ruined I see on professionals choice web sight it says hand wash only -_-. I would have rated this 5 stars for how much I like it riding and for my horse if structurally it was more sturdy/washable or it was stated on a perminate tag that it was hand wash only (tear off tags no one remembers after a year or two directions like that)

While I will still give this cinch 5 stars because they are awesome and I’ll never use anything else, please note there is a difference between merino wool and shearling. I purchased what I thought was shearling based on the description. Now that I’ve used it for a while and compared to my other cinch that is shearling, I can tell the one I received is not shearling. It seems to be doing fine nonetheless, but now I’ve overpaid for a merino wool cinch.

My mom sent me a link to get this for her for Christmas, it's gotten to the point where you have to look up anything on Amazon extensively before buying it to make sure you're not being scammed. And often times there will still be something you missed. Of every one of the 10 gifts I bought on Amazon this year, 2 of them were actually decent quality with a fair price

Bought this for my daughter's mare who is very sensitive, would show discomfort and nip at the cinch (a really nice mohair) after about an hour on the trail. This cinch fixed that problem. Last ride -- 5 hours. No problem.

My horse sustained an injury to her girth area and I needed a new, soft cinch. This cinch is so soft and looks so good. It doesn't interfere with her movement at all.

I love these cinches in that you can take the fleece off and wash it. My mare is pretty cinchy but she tolerates this cinch over others when it comes to the cinching department. Bad part is I only get about three years out of one before the fleece starts falling apart and stops being as soft.

I bought this because I loved my old one. Got this one and I think it’s got plastic in it that makes a lot of noise. I guess they changed how they make it
