- Washing Directions: Unplug the vacuum from the electrical socket. Remove the filter and take it outside as to not spread the dust indoors. First, gently tap the filter on the side of the garbage can so that most of the dust falls in. Second, rinse outside surface of filter with running water.
- Make sure to air-dry the filter completely before you replace it in the vacuum cleaner. It is suggested that let the filter dry for 24-48 hours. Once the filter is clean and dry you can place it back into the vacuum cleaner.
There are two types of these filters, one which has an opening at both ends (DCF-1) and one with an opening at only one end (DCF-2). This filter fits both DCF1 and DCF2 filters. There is a removable end-cap included in the box. So if your original filter has an opening and only one end, leave the cap in place.
