Does this work with Alexa?  She keeps screaming at me for slamming the seat.

Thank you for your interest in our products. Although Alexa can't help you with a slamming toilet seat, this seat does have Our Whisper•Close® feature which allows you to slowly and quietly close the toilet seat ring and cover with a tap, eliminating the sound of a slamming seat!

What cleaning products are safe to use on this seat without rubbing off the enamel surface?

Hello Wendy Olson. Thank you for submitting your question. Painted molded wood seats do require special care and cleaning. We suggest using a mild detergent (such as dish washing soap) mixed with warm water. Rinse clean, dry with a soft towel, and let the seat air-dry to ensure the hinge area dries completely. Do not use bleach, pine oils, essential oils, chlorine, acid, scouring powders, detergents, disinfectants, or products in aerosol cans. Harsh chemicals can rub away the paint finish on toilet seats and the metal finish on hinges. This can create a dirty worn-away look on molded wood seats as well as corrosion and peeling of the metal hinge finish. Is the entire seat made of enameled wood, or is the seat wood and lid plastic?   I have a plastic lid right now and it doesn’t support weight very wel

The throne  seat and lid is manufacture from high density composite wood (HD) with enamel finish.

I weigh round 240 after dumpage occurs. Being a trained professional I can report the the lid holds up well when stinging on it to reach dust bunnies located at the corners of the ceiling.

Please remember this use is not recommended for the general public and under no circumstance should you dance around whilst on the lid ...

Question 4

I bought this and installed it per the directions--but the screws stick up too hign and I can't close the screw covers. What am I doing wrong?

use a socket wrench with an extension. my problem was the nuts would not turn on the screws at all. had to put a small Vise Grip at the shank of the screw, put shampoo on everything and had to run the nuts up and back about 5 times each before the threads were chased. Cost me an extra $25 to the installer since it took so long.
