Rubies Indiana Jones trick or treat Satchel ages 4 and up

We bought this for my son's Halloween costume and it worked great. He even used it to collect his candy. The strap was really long as others have said but I just tied it in the back and it's worked just fine, I might go back and cut it and sew it if I have time before Halloween. The velcro was pretty flimsy but didn't break during the two times we have used it. Would definitely recommend.

Just a trick or treat bag for Indy's sidekicks. Strap is really short with velcro. Will not work as the over-shoulder across body bag like you need. But, I will use this Satchel for the nice Indiana Jones logo on flap. A little pricey. Should be 10.00, not over 20. Again, great bag for kids not adults.

I bought this as an accessory for my son's Halloween costume. He was so excited and it made the halloween outfit complete. The price was very reasonable and so was the shipping. It was only a $1 or $2 more than the local store including shipping. I had waited too long and could not find it in the store. There was 1 week til Halloween, I got it in 3 days. I was sooo happy.The only issue I had was the handle was very long and velcro held the strap on. After a while of Trick or Treating, the bag came off the velcro and my son's candy was everywhere. Secure the bag.I was pleased with this purchase.

Works great as an addition to an Indiana Jones Costume. My son didn't use this as a toy at all, just as part of his costume. It is a pretty thin material, and I don't think it would make a very durable toy. The straps were too long for a child, but I used a pin to make them shorter and it worked fine. I also put a towel in the bag to make it look better as he wore it. I would not recommend this as a toy, but I would highly recommend it as part of a costume.

This satchel was used as part of my son's Halloween costume. Although it seemed a decent size, we emptied it of candy twice (!!) before the night was over. One 'feature' is that one side of the strap is velcroed (not sewn) onto the side. This did not work well for my five year old trying to keep it strapped, especially as the bag got heavier towards the end of the night. However, giving it a great review because my son was THRILLED with it (although it is very plain) and the price was right.

Satchel is extremely light and cheaply made. For costume purposes, it was a bit flat upon arrival and had to be stuffed up to make it look like a real prop. The strap is sown on by one side, and then has velcro attachments on the other. Held up with a water bottle inside for the most part BUT eventually would detach unexpectedly. We used this satchel as part of an Indiana Jones costume during a 5k mud run. Easy to clean after.

For the price I would think it would be a bit sturdier. The 2 snaps on the top sticks and will soon break from the material. I warned my son to keep them unsnapped. Other than that, it is good for a costume. I am wishing I just purchased a real bag that might have more longevity - this will last only for this season.

Our 8 year old nephew loves Indy and loved this bag for his birthday. We bought the dvds for him and he stores them in there - except he takes them out when he goes to the store and likes to carry this satchel. It was a great gift for an Indiana Jones fan!!

This is definitely for costume use, not for an actual bag to carry stuff. It's pretty flimsy. Also, one side of the strap is secured with velcro (not sure why?) so it could easily come unattached. However, it has the Indiana Jones logo and I can't complain about the price! So for the value, I'm still giving it 4 stars. It will serve it's purpose to complete my son's IJ costume.

I bought this for my neighbor's 9 year old son that loves Indiana Jones. He was thrilled! The bag looks better online than it does in person though. It's durable material but it looks really cheap. Of course he didn't care. He just wanted something to put his whip and actions figures in as he pretends to be Indiana. LOL This is great for a kid but for an adult costume or something, I'd go with a different satchel.

If it's only decoration it's perfect. If you're going to be digging into it to throw snakes and yell, "Snakes?! I hate snakes!" at a party, not so good. The velcro straps aren't strong enough to hold both the snakes and a rummaging around.My recommendation: Instead of velcro use metal hooks.If you own it and are slightly handy, use a hole punch and put in your own metal fasteners.

My 4 year old son loves this bag but the strap was way to long so I had to shorten it. Strap on one side is also velcro to the bag, which with any weight in the bag would come apart, so I sewed the strap to the bag.Also encouraged my son to not use the snaps on the flap to close the bag, any kind of pulling to get the snaps open and the fabric around the snaps was starting to rip.

It worked for my son’s Indiana Jones Halloween costume. I wasn’t thrilled that it arrived with a stain but I didn’t have time to return and get sowmwthing else. I also think it is pretty cheap quality, he tried using it as his candy bag but it wouldn’t stay attached at the Velcro. Not deal breakers since the price was relatively low. But if I were to do it again, I would maybe spend a little more for better quality since my son loved his costume theme and plans to wear it again.

I put my Kindle fire in it and my ipod and a few other things its small and its a nice color it looks cheap but in a fun way OMG i mean it IS a trick or treat bag I dont know what the other reviewers are complaining about its like 2.00 what do u expect for 2.00 darn dollars and free shipping>?????? I might if I like it alot get a few more for back up

We bought this for my son's Halloween costume of Indiana Jones. He thought it was the neatest thing and it looked really cute too. It was a little smaller than expected but I didn't look at the measurements and the handle comes detached with velcro so that frequently came apart when the candy load got heavier but that is easy enough to fix with a safety pin. OVerall it was a cute addition to his costume.
