Worth the watch... But potentially offensive material for some.
This was the 2nd time I saw this film after almost five years, I couldn't remember a lot of what happened in it but I believe I had a similar reaction this time as I did back then of not being anywhere overly impressed, though there are some genuine laughs in it for me.Anyone familiar with Sacha Baron Cohen (the lead actor in this film) could already predict the dark humour that lies within like with many of his other films, I'm not one who gets offended at all but the comedy was hit and miss, still an undoubtedly very good film which I would recommend to young adults and beyond, who can watch with an open mind.

Gaddafi was funnier
After Ali G and Borat, for this character Baron Cohen seems to have over-reached himself...the film barely raised a laugh a couple of times for me, and that was it. Just not very funny I'm afraid. And when the jokes fall flat the comic racial stereotypes become just racial stereotypes and begin to grate. The writing team need beating with shoes!

One of the worst movies ever made.
This is worth watching because it is so unbelievably bad. I cannot imagine the mindset of the people who first wrote this, but then there were those duped into spending money producing it. Sad that the movie industry has become so dumbed down.

Dire
Not sure how this got made actually. It’s pretty awful and cringeworthy.

Quite a funny film
we were told it is a funny film and it is you could get a little shocked by some of the antics but if you've seen any of his stuff you know what to expect

Surprisingly funny
Not normally a SBC fan but this was funny.Well worth a watch - mixed gender teen and adult audience really enjoyed this film with some laugh out loud moments.Crass in places - but amusingly so :)

Really not his best
Sacha has obviously done numerous films and come a long way since his Ali G days, however, although this could have been really funny it just kind of dragged on, not enough of a plot line and a miss on numerous points within the story that could have been really good

Middle of the road for me - kind of funny kind of boring
I do love a bit of satirical humour and anything Sasha Baron Cohen has satire in droves, but this just doesn't make me laugh. It's not unwatchable, its not rubbish, its just not as funny as I expect for Sasha Baron Cohen. Maybe better to watch it in company to add to the humour.
