20 PC LED Light Bulbs, T10 5050 5-SMD 5W5 Blue License Plate Lights, Replacement Bulbs for Car Dome Map Lights

I'm using these for my car's footwells, so I would have liked if they were a bit brighter but, ultimately, they're bright enough. The shade of blue is also what I was looking for - a decently deep blue without being so dark as to make the light they put off useless. They go in and come out of the sockets easily enough, so installation and replacement are uncomplicated. Overall, a good deal for the price.

I do not like that this listing says easy to install when in fact it's not. No instructions came with it or diagram to show where they should be installed. Furthermore it says it fits my model of car, well clearly that was a lie because as you can see from the photos it doesn't and if that's not where it goes then why was its listed as such in the photo description. Not happy with this I feel like my time and effort was wasted by this terrible product and listing

BACKGROUND:This was offered as a Vine suggestion, but since pink was the only color offered, I wasn't willing to actually have it in my car. On the other hand, I figured that combined with some green and blue bulbs, it might work for some hidden holiday lighting in the eaves of my home. I usually avoid the holiday lighting because I'm an old fart and putting them up and then taking them down is too much of a pain in the butt -- either that or I'm just lazy... Bah humbug...$8.99INITIAL OBSERVATIONS:Unlike other T10 and T5 LED bulbs that I've used, the base on these is not basically a couple of rows of pads on a circuit board that you slide into the socket, but rather a plastic holder where two wires/leads come out of it and then bend back upwards so that you have connectors on both sides.Hooking it up to a 12V LiFePo4 for testing, I did not get a particularly *bright* light as compared to T5 bulbs that I've recently tested, but that could just be because the human eye does not see red as well as yellow-greeen or it might be because the type of LEDs are just not as bright as are being used in the other T10 and T5 LEDs that I've tested.COMPLAINTS / ISSUES:The plastic insert with the wires coming through it seems a bit cheesy. The assembly is not even minimally resistant to water and I would not be surprised if there issues with oxidation / corrosion in any installation that was not already completely sealed. Even a humid environment would probably cause issues. A clear coating like a lacquer or clear fingernail polish might be adviseable if you are not installing it in a sealed enclosure.IMPRESSIONS:I think I would call the color more of a "magenta" than a "pink" -- kind of like the current T-Mobile corporate color. A single bulb is not that bright, but that also means it's not going to blind you if you look directly at it.CONCLUSION:It's not a light that I will be using normally, but that is just because of the color. I'll probably use it combined with green, blue, yellow, and white bulbs for holiday lighting under the eaves of my house.I think it is probably worth a 2.7-star (i.e. "very slightly below average") rating, just because of the cheesy plastic base on the light.
