So nice within a stir fry. Adds texture and is like a nice chewy pasta

I've boight this product several times over the last year but they have gone downhill. The last order I made, the rice cakes were ruined, they had all gone off so went in the bin. I gave the benefit of the doubt and ordered again, the product is of shocking quality, inedible yet again, the product is completely different to how it used to be. There is also no way of contacting the company direct. I will not be purchasing this product again.

These are great - we’ve bought them several times now, used for making Korean dishes like regular spicy Tteokbokki, and also Gungjung Tteokbokki - yum! Just wish they were more easily available, and a bit cheaper.

These were discoloured, they had a pink tinge to them. They were spoiled and when I tested if they were edible had a glue taste once cooked. Wouldn’t buy from this supplier again.

I have ordered this product several times but this time 1 of the pouches had discoloured rice cakes. Bag was vacuumed sealed, only noticed when I opened it.

The last few times I've bought these they've arrived already rotten. Getting another refund. Won't be buying again

I have never had rice cakes before so I dont know what they are supposed to be like. These are very chewy and no flavor, they take on whatever sauce they are cooked in. I made hot Noodles ( Sam Yang) I enjoyed them reminded me of mozzerella sticks only more chewy and less flavor. Also I put them in the freezer right away because some people said they became moldy soon. Frozen they keep well.

So I’m a fairly adventurous eater despite having sensory difficulties. Ever since I heard about the texture of tteokbokki I have been so excited to try it, but I couldn’t find the rice cakes anywhere locally.Enter Cokoyam- after seeing all the positive reviews I put an order in for a bag. The cakes came two days earlier than forecasted and the box was carefully sealed. The serving pouches had some slight condensation on the inside even though the drying packets were in there, but there wasn’t any mold or anything. I just stuck them in the fridge; like they’re going to last in there long enough to mold!The perfect harmony of flavor and sensory stimulation- they are soft, chewy, boingy-sproingy little rice pillows! To top it all off, they’re gluten free and vegan! What’s not to like?
