Decent fishys
They are a nice little set of fish, with fishing poles. The poles have a very small (too small) magnet at the end of the line. Each of the fish has a very tiny magnet on them, somewhere. This is so you can "catch" the fish at the end of the line.It would be much better if the magnet on the fish was a little larger. Or one or both of the magnets were stronger or larger. It's really difficult to actually get the two magnets to connect even when you can see the one on the fish. If for some reason you can't, like there's a hyper 2 year old splashing, or they in a bath with bubbles, it can be almost impossible to "hook" some of the fish. This can result in a ticked off toddler. Some of the magnets on the fish were so tiny you had to search for them, one I had trouble finding even wearing reading glasses. Those ones can be very difficult to pick up. They are too heavy for the tiny magnet. Even if you do get them to connect and lift them up they typically wind up falling within a couple seconds. Other one the magnet is put in a more sensible spot, and some of them the magnet is a little larger. Those typically you're able to pick up and move them like through the air without losing them. As long as you do it carefully and don't swing it around, or move it too fast or with two sudden of movements.I wish they would have made most of the fish a little bit lighter. Some if not all of the magnets either a little bigger or a little stronger, so they were a little easier to "catch" and pull up out of the water. Fortunately my two-year-old granddaughter absolutely adores them, even if they do annoy her fairly regularly. So do the 4-year-old and 5-year-old grandkids for out in the pool. They haven't really used the fishing poles yet they just like that they float. This is an item that definitely could have used a little more for thought put into it. It's one of those toys that could have been great, with a little more testing, or consideration before they came out. Could have been so much more then just decent.Would've given it 3 stars except my grandkids enjoyed them , the older two didn't even try the poles, the littlest mostly liked them anyways. When the 2 yo tired they started becoming a problem, when she had a few in the bath. Before that she found it amusing when we get a fishy halfway up out of the water and he'd fall right back into it. Plus in the tub with bubble bath it was really hard to find the magnet on certain ones. Which was another fit from the littlest. All the grandkids got a kick out of the fact that they floated. Plus you get a lot of fish in the little package. So even with the itsy bitsy magnets that barely hold up the fish, or the weight of the fish that makes it harder for the little bitty magnets to hold it. I figured they earned four stars for the fact that the kids did absolutely enjoy them. Had I known beforehand what they were like I maybe would have hid the poles before I took all the fish out.

A lot of bang for your buck but not quality
I thought these for a kids birthday party. They were really used, I donāt like that the magnets stick up (for babies to chew on). And some of the fish have really pointy bills and fins. It worked well and got us through what we needed, but follow the age recommended, not suggesting for small toddlers/babies.

CHEAP BUT SHOCKINGLY STURDY
We got this for our autistic child who doesnāt seem to know the meaning of āgentleā. He has been playing with this for over a month, yanking on the string, flailing it all over the place and itās still working!!!! We donāt use the fish because this isnāt really a factor in his playā¦he just loves the rod itself and the string. Itās lightweight, itās not real thick plastic, but somehow this sucker is hanging in there!!!!

Not great for toddlers.
The magnet is not strong enough nor large enough for a toddler with limited hand eye coordination and fine motor skills to use. The magnets have fallen into the interior of the fish after some tosses around. All around not impressed.

Cheaply made
It definitely is a throw away toy. I bought it for a prop for a birthday party. It was good for that but when the kids played with it, it didn't last long.
