It’s ability to do what job was required

Well the pair of bulbs I received are rubbish. They are absolutely not "daylight" at all but just a normal incandescent bulb with a blue coating. It is just not daylight, the light still has a yellow tint to it - useless for trying to discern true colours!We'd been using a low energy daylight bulb in an Anglepoise lamp but that was too heavy so the lamp would not always stay where put. I found that with an incandescent bulb it balanced properly so ordered these bulbs so the lamp would both be balanced and daylight - WRONG!In the end I have found that "corn" style LED bulbs can be found in true daylight white and are the same weight as these incandescent bulbs so they are the solution. They also use less power than the energy saver bulbs let alone these.

I bought two of these bulbs. The first blew after just half an hours use, the other blew after 2 and a half months of 6-8 hours a day usage. Not terribly impressive.I accept that there is a normal distribution of life expectancy. But these, quite expensive bulbs, lasted either 0.5 or 650 hrs. What is your normal expected life?

Good product and value for money, arrived quickly and safely. Unfortunately was recommended on Amazon to go with the Modus Swing Arm Hobby/Craft Lamp purchased, but reading the manufacturer's guidelines of the lamp, the wattage of the daylight bulbs exceeded the safety guidelines, so the bulbs were returned. No fault of the bulbs! ;-) Recommended for the appropriate light fitting.

These daylight bulbs offer the perfect light by which to do close work, when there is no natural light. Great when I am sewing, knitting or crocheting.

good quality lamps would buy again

Not as bright as I expected having used daylight bulbs in the past. One went after only a short time.
