Sturdy but not treated to be moisture proof. Mould grew in the handles.
Was originally very happy with these, the metal was sturdy and did not bend, perfect size for indoor gardening (I live in a flat). However, I keep them stood in the same box as my soil and they had some soil on them (as you would expect) and when I went to use them today there was mould growing in the wood. I removed the outer layer but it is definitely in there. Very disappointed as I thought they would have been treated to be moisture proof considering their use.

Small tools and they need to be
I have been constantly amazed by the range of small tools available for gardening and this brand has them all. And talking about small garden tools these are really small. They need to be because they are designed for digging around in seed trays. They like all of this brands products are made very well, although I had to buy some leather cord to make it possible to hang them, which comes as standard on quite a few of their tools. I guess they could be fun for little gardeners or cruel bdsm slave gardening but they are an invaluable pair and will see many years of service.

OK for the indoor gardener; well-designed but could be better-made.
I bought these tools having reacquired an interest in gardening due to lockdown. I live in a first-floor flat with a balcony and communal gardens. I simply wanted tools for potting and transplanting seeds and seedlings. These tools are ideal for the job, sturdy and should last me a lifetime. I have no hesitation in recommending them.Update13/09/21: The handle on the wider trowel worked loose. I’d only ever subjected it to light use so this is inexcusable, especially for a Sheffield-made product. I considered reattaching it with two-part epoxy resin or similar but decided it wasn’t worth the bother.

Smaller than expected
My wife is pretty small so i thought these were full size for her, i felt like a giant holding them, but they are smaller for potting and planting in small pots. Great product, good value and well made.

Perfect greenhouse tools
My husband loves this little set I got it for the green houseHe loves the sturdiness of the set as he has had some that are to fragile and fall apart he says there easy to use and fit the little jobs in the green house perfectOne of my best buys

Perfect tools for transplanting and planting out seedlings
I was dubious whether these would be "proper" tools seeing as they as they look like toys but they are really good. Ideal for removing seedlings from cells or small pots without disrupting the roots. The little pointed trowel is good for making small planting holes and is sharp enough to cut through my clay soil.

Superbly useful.
I grow many tiny alpine plants and these tools are ideal for planting and transplanting. Good for houseplants, also. They are well made, too.
