It doesn't seem to hold the heat as well as the other brand but man for the price, I can locate microwaves. I use it when I have to take baby foster kittens in a carrier to the vet, grocery, restaurant or other places--when they are on a 2 hour feeding schedule, you can't always stay at home!Now that my bottle babies are almost six weeks old, I have discovered a second use. These make excellent bed warmers too!

I tried this for an outdoor cat inside a container and it really worked well and stayed warm for a really long time. Worked great

Hard construction. Does not stay warm very long in outside winter elements. I dont know about laying on it, the plastic is very hard. Otherwise a decent warmer for small and short uses at one time

It says stays warm for up to 8 hours when heated as instructed. Barely even warm to touch right out of microwave when placed in the case. So fid not keep kittens warm at all. They would not use. Tried several times to see if they just needed to get use to it. Nope. Poor lil things still shook. Its rock hard so why would they like. Very disappointed. Really needed something other than running heater sll day

These are okay but I wouldn’t buy them again. The heat only last 3-4 hours max. They aren’t as good as the snugglesafe.

Bought this heating pad for a stray kitty we have let live in our patio! She has her own little indoor house with blankets that weve gotten but it still gets pretty cold at night, and we knew a heating pad would give her comfort during the cold nights. her house is warmer when we feel it inside than outside, but a heating pad would make it better! We microwaved it for about 3 minutes 30 seconds and it wasnt super super hot, but it did keep warm in her little bed for atleast a few hours. Im thinking im gonna let it microwave for closer to 4 minutes 30 seconds so that its nice and hot and I can wrap it in all the blankets so that it gives her some more time with warmth. Lasted about 3 hours in 40 degree weather wrapped up so im hoping 4-5 hours tonight so shes nice and comfy.**UPDATEweve been warming it in the microwave for the 4 mins and 30 seconds now and we slide it inbetween the blankets and sheets we have inside her little house and its been keeping the warmth better! Shes currently cuddled up to it this cold morning and its starting to last closer to 6 hours now of heat in 40 degree weather. Now my family can sleep in peace knowing shes warm and comfortable in her little bed during the cold nights

Too small and the surface is rock hard. Would be uncomfortable for any cat to curl up on.

I have an outdoor cat who claimed me. He's a sweet cat, but does not like to be indoors. I got a little shelter, but was worried when temps dropped. I was also worried about getting an electric heating pad. I'm so glad I found these. They are perfect and hold the heat overnight. I usually heat it up and put it in the shelter around 9 PM and it's still warm when I go out around 6am.

There was absolutely no give to these whatsoever. My cats didn't like the feel of them even though I put them underneath fleece blankets. Return the product

We bought this for our new puppy’s kennel along with a “snuggle puppy” to help calm him at night and ease the transition to our home. The heating pad worked very well and gets warmer overtime after you remove it from the microwave. Surprisingly it was still slightly warm in the morning. My only request would be that they offered a smaller size as this is quite large (almost the size of a dinner plate and over a half inch thick when warm). We have a mini-dachshund who is only 3lbs now and will get to a max 10lbs and this barely fits in his tiny kennel. My daughter likes to use it and I will probably use it for myself as well.

I'd say 2 1/2 to 3 minutes in a 1000 watt microwave is best. Lasts for about 90 minutes warm and another hour tepid. Great for transport of small animals to/from animal hospitals and rehab rescues as I use it for. A tad better than a hot water bottle for the same purpose. I'll buy more for my other carriers...

My cat hates it!! Its made of hard plastic and he wont get in the bed with it there. Very disappointed
