This charger is an excellent replacement for my broken original charger, I purchased a different replacement only a few months ago fron amazon again, but it really interfered with my laptop, so I'm delighted with this one, as it works perfectly, no interferance what so ever.

I was always surprised that Microsoft never withdrew the original charger supplied with our Surface Book. The charger box (transformer) always over heated and needed to be watched carefully. However, the reason for replacing it was that the wire which ran into the magnetic plug-in, very quickly bent and eventually wore through despite reinforcing tape. I am delighted with this replacement although it is obviously early days. It is indistinguishable from the original, doesn't overheat and the wiring seems more robust with no predisposition to kinking. So far excellent in all aspects.

My Surface Pro charger stopped working last week, but being on a tight budget, I decided to try this alternative for a replacement. To my surprise, although it arrived in an unbranded box, the charger itself looked very much like the original.It functions in the same capacity, charging my surface to pro 2 without any issues such as overheating.The charging block also has a built in USB port which I use to charge my phone and some of my other devices when I need to.It's a good value charger for the cost, and I'd recommend.

Great price for a good quality charger. Great replacement option for the original one I lost.
