This is solid, holds weights well and does what it is supposed to do. If used correctly you can really blast your forearms with wrist twists. Great flr a variety of exercises. If you're into forearms, arm wrestling or geup training, then this is a must have.

Highly recommend.
I was worried that it will not work with a commercial gym sized plates. It does!!! I bring it to the gym with me at least twice a week. Not just for arm wrestlers, I play ice hockey and it helps greatly with overall grip strength and forearm static strength. You could probably get parts from hardware store, straps from camping store, but, for the price, this works and I did not have to go search for parts.

Carbon fiber?
Recently purchased seemed to be working fine but after a few uses I noticed carbon fiber on the palm on my hand! Would not recommend!
