Very pleased
Have hesitated to buy these for ages, but finally took the plunge. I'm really pleased with them overall. Only small complaint is motor probably too noisy to use in bedroom if a light sleeper. Easy to control and have had no issues with the 4 I have installed.

Don't buy these without reading up on the issues!
I have bought several of the Lightwaverf lighting products and am very satisfied with their use and performance. As a result I had decided to invest in these radio controlled TRVs. This was a mistake. They are supposed to be controlled with the WifiLink via iPad or other handheld device using OS or Android. I am using an iPad. Supposedly each TRV should be independently setup to control the respective radiator in 5 daily heat settings. I have tried and programmed the TRVs over a period of 4 weeks repeatedly but they continuously "forget" the time setting which leads to them changing temperature at random times during the day. Also they "forget" the schedules that have been programmed and default to heat up to 22C at 6 am every day (at least when they believe it's 6 am which as per above can be any time of the day). The issues I describe are apparently known and if you search on the web for lightwaverf user comments in various online forums you can see that this issue is identified but Lightwaverf has not been able to fix it. Apparently Meagan (the main distributor) and Maplin are taking the TRVs back. I am quite tech savvy, having setup many wireless devices including Sonos, wifi networks and the Lightwaverf lighting products and I am not easily defeated but small issues but I shall be returning these TRVs after having tried very hard to make them work. It's also worth knowing that the mechanical drive opening and closing the radiator valve is quite loud and certainly would be quite disturbing in a bedroom. Finally there is no clear instruction on how to extend the radio coverage if connecting TRVs over a large area in a house or flat. Ligthwaverf is selling an extension but it appears to be working only for the lighting products and not the heating products. The room thermostats (which may have been able to solve the programming issue) are out of stock as far as I could determine.Shame.

Not fit for purpose
I read the other reviews which indicate this is product needs some work but I bought it anyway as I really needed to control one room independently. Well, it does work and so far has not lost's it's memory but as reported in other reviews it is noisy so no use in bedrooms. But I have another problem, it does not shut off when it gets up to temperature, consequently the room gets very hot. I have had to compensate by lowering the setting. Another new problem is the boost button, which seem to open the valve permanently has to remove the batteries to reset this. In other words this is a work in progress product. It frequently looses connection with the controller and has to be reset by removing the batteries.i agree with most of the other reviewers, this product is really not fit for purpose. The good news was that it is easy to install.

Lubrication
I’ve had a couple of these that were noisy. I have found WD40 PTFE spray on the radiator TRV shaft, seems to cure it. It gives the Lightwaverf valve less work to do. I expect the batteries will last longer.

DREADFUL
Im a big fan and user of lightwaverf, but these need a lot of work. You cannot just turn a radiator on in a room like you can a light using your mobile phone etc. They have to be set with timers on your phone and synced with the wifi transmitter, its not an easy on or off when you need it. The main issue however is the noise! At midnight every room in the house seems to get some reset or calibration signal and the house comes alive waking everyone up. The noise I can only describe as a coffee grinder in each room, although not quite as noisy but enough to wake every person in the house from deep sleep every night. I returned all 4 I purchased to hull lighting in November and am still awaiting my refund 3 months later.
