This, so far, is a game that continues to be first to the table. The more plays, the better the strategies you come up with. Total enjoyment!

I really enjoyed playing through the entirety of Legacy of Yu's campaign. Each individual game takes about an hour to complete with a full campaign play-through ranging from 7 to 14 games.I must say that learning the rules isn't super straightforward but they become second nature over time.Each time you win a campaign game, you flip over a Legacy card that will add more challenges to your game, raising the difficulty. Each time you lose, the opposite happens, the Legacy card you flip will make the game slightly easier.This makes it so the difficulty level will ultimately adjust to match your skill.Great cost effective way to spend some money and have fun for 10-12h.Once the campaign is finished you can even rearrange the cards and gift the game to someone else. Nothing is wasted and destroyed.

Deck building, set collection, worker placement, resource management.This game gets you playing quick... set up and tear down are one of the main reasons i keep this one nearby for a quick play (less than an hour).The story is well developed and to the point with nice changes every game or every other. Losing a couple of times is not the end of a campaign. As progress is achieved the game tends towards difficult but can be modified/adjusted.The gist... you have to leverage your villagers, and resources to combat famine, barbarians and the impending flood by building water canals. The design is clever, compact but with enough variability that each game will present its own challenges. When you think youve got it... think again.Once done i will probably play the campaign once more, and then pass it to someone else to experience it. (Unless expansions come for it)

Really enjoying this game. I'm always looking for a game that plays solo. Since this is designed for solo play only, I had high hopes for it, and it doesn't disappoint. It is designed to be played as a campaign, with each game lasting about an hour. Each game, win or lose, builds on the story a bit, and keeps things interesting and challenging. It claims that a complete campaign (when one either loses or wins 7 games) will still only reveal about 40% of the total story line, so I expect it will remain fresh for many replays. Components are high quality. Setup is quick and the box is well-designed to keep all pieces sorted for the next game in the campaign. My only criticism is that the instructions are a bit vague on some points. That said, some common sense usually solves most issues. Well worth the investment.

Legacy of Yu is not overly complicated & has an interesting story. After one round of play, I was hooked and ready go further into the campaign.
