Triple IMS Precision Nanotech Filter Basket compatible with 54mm Breville Sage Espresso machines Express, Bambino, Bambino Plus, Impress, Barista Touch, Infuser, Duo Temp (32NT)

I got the 24NT for my Barista Express. There is much more good than bad:• The good: - I am able to get better tasting shots from this than with the stock basket from Breville (the most important thing). - It has helped me reduce channeling to virtually zero. (I must add that I also use both a declumper and a calibrated distributor rather than just a tamper, so that is part of the equation, but then I did that with the stock basket and still got occasional channeling.) - I can use about an extra 1.2g~1.5g in the dose over the stock basket. - Watching the stream formation from under the bottomless portafilter, it almost immediately goes to a center stream for me. - The holes do not clog with grounds as they do with the stock basket (which take some effort to remove and cause uneven brewing).• The bad: It fits EXTREMELY tight, so much that the sides are deeply scratched from getting it in and out of the portafilter, which takes quite a bit of effort. As such, I just leave it in my bottomless portafilter for straight shots since it is more applicable to that anyway and then use the stock basket in the stock portafilter for milk drinks where I care less about great tasting shots.• The bottom line: I'm definitely glad that I purchased this even with being overly tight.

The 24NT filter basket is a perfect tight fit in the 54mm portafilter that comes with the Breville Bambino and Barista Touch machines as well as the LILQ bottomless portafilter. It also works well with the Normcore magnetic dosing funnel.The 24NT (14-18g) easily accommodates 18g of espresso after tamping and works better than the 28NT (18-22g) which is too large for 18g of coffee resulting in a wet espresso puck. After testing them, this filter basket along with a bottomless portafilter really did produce better tasting espresso than the standard Breville filter basket and dual-spout portafilter.

Water comes through great.

Do you have a shorty Phillips head screw driver? Grab one and get this done! This shower screen DOES make a difference in how your espresso is made because it affects how the water is distributed and pressure is applied through your portafilter. I knew this would be a better flow when I did a water test after I installed the screen. The taste of the espresso was even better. It was bolder, almost as if I was using a luxury machine. The aficionados will tell you that the details matter and in this case I believe it. Get this shower screen for you Breville and never look back!

I have the Breville Barista Touch Impress.The Impress Puck system tamps the puck for me before I remove the Porta-filter from the grinder head so I have less dials I can modify to get that perfect cup of coffee.The stock Double filter gave me 18gr of coffee.The IMS 24NT gives me 19gr of coffee in this maker.The IMS is just a touch shorter than the stock but the walls are straighter so more coffee is in the body.As others have said it will change the taste, the speed of brew and therefore the size of grind.On a Lavazza Gran Crema I went from 11 to 9 on the grind to keep the brew time to about 28 to 30 seconds.On a Stumptown Holler Mountain I went from 12 to 10 for the same.The IMS made the extraction better on the Lavazza and improved the flavor but it now over-extracts the Stumptown making it more bitter.Also with the finer grind and the straight walls it is harder to knock the puck out. Just something to remember.This filter is a quality product but you have to know it won't fix everything.It simply changes the characteristics of your coffee. Sometimes that means it makes it better and sometimes it makes it worse. It is a tool and something else to try when you have hit a wall and run out of things you can change. It won't bring world peace but might make that cup of coffee taste better.

I’ve been using this basket for a week now, and it’s taking some time to find the sweet spot for tamping with this one. I’m still getting some splatter with it, like espresso coming out under high pressure, but not from the center of the puck. It’s rather messy when this happens, and I’m admittedly a little confounded. I’ve never had that happen with any basket before. Maybe, I need to work on my technique. I’ll update the review after some more time with it.Update: 06 Mar 2023I found the issue with spurting to be a combination of grind courseness and tamping. I managed to start doing this with my original 18g basket. So, I’ve updated the review to 5 stars as I can't think of any negatives. I’m still not sure about the whole precision thing, but that maybe more about my knowledge than the basket itself.

The old IMS 54mm screen did not fit the Barista Pro model . I can say that without any drilling or modifications this new Nano Tech screen fits perfectly. nice even flow and the Nano coating keeps the head spotless.

Love this basket!!!! Works great in my Bambino Plus portafilter that comes stardard with the machine. I had already removed the black disk warmer so it just popped right in!!!Load with 21 grams of coffee and am pulling triple shots from my tiny Bambino!! Thank you verybarista!!!!!

Works better than the stock filter. Fits the breville barista pro perfectly, no mods necessary.

Took me a while to fit this product but immediately it's clearly defective and too small to fit 54mm IMS baskets. Water overflows when using it!

This is evidently precision made and the coating looks good to last. The big shock on first use is that you will get far too much water and a cup of flat brown water! I significantly adjusted my grinder and still didn't get a good cup. It has taken three days to get this dialled in and it was worth the effort. Perfect flow from a naked portafilter, sweetness and cleanliness of the drink.The puck just drops out, leaving the basket pristine. I am certain that I will get consistency because of the lack of residue in the basket. I should add that I use lower mesh screens in the portafilter and I have not tried the basket without one.

Ich habe mir diese Dusche für meine Sage Barista Express Impress Touch gekauft. Wenn ich beide Duschen vergleiche, dann ist es ein riesiger Unterschied wie das Wasser aus der IMS Dusche rauskommt. Es kommt viel gleichmässiger und ich dicken Tropfen raus.Bei der Originalen kam mal hier was, mal da was. Hier ein Tropfen, da ein Strahl aber nichts gleichmässiges. Hier sieht man schon einen sehr großen Unterschied. Es bleibt auch eigentlich kein Kaffeemehl mehr an der Dusche hängen.Ich finde, es war ein guter Tausch.
