These empty bobbins are amazing, they’re exactly what I need to tidy up my lace, ribbon and elastic stash in my craft room.They’re a great size and hold a good amount.I can’t believe I’ve never seen these before, they can tidy up so many different things. I absolutely love them.

I ordered these spools without checking the size. This is entirely my fault as the size was clearly given in the description. I read the sentence that said, “ The standard size compatible with most household sewing machine.” and thought it meant these spools were the small bobbins that go in a bobbin case for Singer, Bernina and other domestic lockstitch machines, but they are much larger. This, of course, is not the fault of the supplier. The spools are actually very useful if you have a machine they will fit but are also really handy for storing ribbons, braid, etc. neatly in a drawer or cupboard, etc. They are plastic, feel quite sturdy and are lightweight and firm, not floppy. They have a hole near the outer edge and two near the inner edge so you can put cord, braid, etc through any of those to make it easier to start winding on your cords or whatever you are using. I will use them for some of the stock of lace I have, at the moment it is in various plastic bags and once on these reels it will be quicker and easier to find the style and colour I need. Not the intended purpose, but useful and so I am pleased with them even though I made a silly mistake!
